Arthritis Information -Decades of pain

Bella - welcome aboard and sorry you had to find us.  I, too, started with sinusitis and noticed that when I took an antibiotic, all my other symptoms that were caused by my "depression", went away for awhile.  I have switched from the traditional forms of treatment to antibiotic protocol, and you can gain this information at the Road Back website.  This treatment was accepted by the American College of Rheumatology about 10 years ago and has parity with the other DMARDS on the market.  Best of luck.  Cathy

When I was 28, I was 5 '3, and 128 lbs. I suffered infertility, but had already had a baby, and no one looked in the right places. I gained 60 pounds and became miserable. (my symptoms included chronic sinusitis, chronic pain in the back, hips, and joints, chronic hives, multiple UTI'S) After 9 years of suffering, I saw "Mystery Diagnosis" on TV. I HAD TO BEG MY DOCTOR to listen to me, I was sure I had ovarian cysts. She thinks I am starting early menopause, and  takes forever to listen to me. Turned out I had cysts on one side, and a blocked tube on the other. In addition, I had a large tumor in my uterus. After 2 surgeries, I thought I'd be able to live again. After that, I still suffer from chronic hives on my upper back. We thought I was allergic to estrogen, which I was, the patches burned my skin, yet still, I still suffer from the rash, and extreme joint pain. We hoped my pain was do to the ovarian issues.

Some of my suffering was reduced, no more painful and bloody periods, but other things remain. Still overweight, and working a 50 hour work week on my feet, I am suffering from major pain. You need better shoes...I bought better shoes. The pain never goes away, it get's worse. I always have blood and bacteria in my urine, for 3 years straight. My joint pain is not even releived after a week off from work. I finally see a Urologist. He is pleased to tell me, that I have nothing wrong with me. No tumors, stones, or otherwise, yet still blood in my urine. With every blood in the urine diagnosis, I either have a sinus infection, or my chronic hives are infected. My sore feet begin to itch, showing circles of white and silver. I have finally made a connection. My ankle, knee, hand, and foot pain become much more severe when I have an infection. I had a scan on my sinus cavity, but they find no reason they keep getting infected. Allergists are ar a dead end on my hives. Once again, I watch a mystery diagnosis type program. I hear the term Reactive arthritis. The patient had every symptom I have. So here I am, 39 years old, having trouble walking down the stairs. When I am on antibiotics for sinus, my pain gets much better. My doctor says it Fibromyalgia. I am not seeking a diagnosis, but an opinion. Might I have Reactive arthritis?

Wow they should do a show about you. I love that show by the way. You have something and fibro you may have but it would not cause all of that. Of course you know that. You have it sounds like Auto Immune something could be alot of things. Allergies hives all that sounds auto immune. Alot of people with auto immune get fibro. Kidney can be RA related. HAve you seen a reumotologist. Right down a diary of all your medical complaints and joint complaints ect. get an appiontment with a reumetologist. Have you seen a kidney specialist? HAve you seen a skin doctor. They maybe able to better diagnoese the rash you have going on. If i were you i would keep an eye on myself and get some answers. Anyway welcome to the board and let me know how things turn out for you. I do not know what you have but please find out.
