OT - Birthday Help | Arthritis Information

Okay, Justin's birthday is the 24th of March. His relief worker, Kevin, is getting married on the 21st, or 22nd....either way, he'll be gone on his honeymoon. So Justin is bummed that he'll have to work :( It's gonna be his 25th birthday, so I want to do something cool for him.

So far I've got these ideas:

Cake with picture of a quarter, with the year "1983" on it.

25 silver balloons, weighted with quarters from 1983

Other than that, I'm struggling. Help!!! I wanna make it one he remembers. But keep in mind, he'll be at work probably. Thanks for ANY ideas you guys have!!

Well, thank you so very much for reminding me how old I am Miss Katie.  I was gettting ready to graduate high school then.

Hmmm, let me think.  I am pretty good at this.  Hubby hates that about me.  You need to get him one of those year cards...this was what was going on in the world in 1983, type of thing.

Man Shelly, I had 2 kids by then.....She aged me as well. I'm so bummed, lol.

Katie. You could always hire a stripper, lol.    J/K!!!

LMAO I knew someone was gonna comment.

You know Lori, he's not into strippers and stuff like that. Isn't that great? Hell, I think I've been to more strip clubs than he has.

Shelly, I can't find those cards in the stores anywhere. I guess I'll have to look them up online. Do you know who makes them?

Hey they have em up here Katie....Next time Im at the grocery store I could pick one up for you and send it out to you if you wantWell there's a "birthday store" out here in town, I'm gonna check them out first. Maybe they'll have them. I'll let you know!

Oh Lori, we are not old...we just have more experience!!!  Yeah right...*rolls eyes*

1983?  That was a really good year.  I just turned 20 and my first baby was born!  Now he's married himself and who knows?  Maybe grandma is in the near future for me??Oh man, 83 was like yesterday, don't you think? I was a sophomore in
college and had two babies.   It makes me realize just how precious time
really is. It goes by so fast. My oldest grandchild is 10!! And I'm only 47.
Ok Katie....I have this fantastic idea. Rent a room at the hotel you work at.
It would be cost effective and romantic at the same time. Just think, he cold
get off work, and would not even drive home!! What do you think? No can do in March. High season SINGING TELEGRAM!!!!!!

1983- I had left school and was making my way in the big wide world then....

My Auntie (who passed away Jan 2) got me a splendid Danish layer cake and put a Pink Panther on it for my qtr century. I still have the the Pink Panther (I'm 54 now), and he is wearing a bight turquoise top hat in honor of my big day.

(What are those toys with the wires in them that you can bend into various shapes? Gumbies? Must be 'old timers'...)

I know what toys you're talking about. Hehe

I think I'm going to find a JUMBO birthday card, and have all his friends sign it. He likes weird things like that. :)

Katie,

I haven't any bright ideas at the moment but looked up this site:-

Perhaps you can make up your own special super birthday card for  him? to go with some of the other ideas.  Am sure you'll think up something good

Lorraine

HMMMM March of 83...I was in 3rd grade..lol.

So is he going to work that night? Do you work that day? If not you could take him out to eat or make him his favorite dinner at home and bake a cake for him. Oooohhh you could go get some of those pictures made...you know where they are almost nakie but not totally...or buy him a new camera and put some sexy pics of your self on it before you give it to him..sort of a bonus! Then on another night when he is off ya'll could go out to eat or for drinks with your friends to celebrate again!

PS-I still have those beads....did you email me your address? Things got so busy with Dannys broke leg and holidays etc.
