Hi, My name is Celine, I'm 55 years old and have had ealry onset OA since in my 20s. I have had 3 arthroscopic knee surgeries, many injections (including synvisc) and total knee replacement, last year.

I also have OA in both hips and in all area of the lumbar spine. I have DDD, spinal stenosis, 4 herniated discs and an intrapped nerve all caused from the OA of my spine. I have had PT, epidurals and will be having a 2 level fusion at the L5/S1 and the L3/L4 levels. He says he will also try to clean up some of the arthritis.I am afraid of this surgery and I keep wanting to postpone it.

I was very happy to find this forum.

We almost sound like twins, although people are not as willing to touch my back, because of the other arthritis I have.  I have psoriatic arthritis, and it is not known yet which is causing which.  So sorry for your pain, but I am sure that someone else has had some of the same surgies.

I have also had three artho knee surgeries...may be headed for number four!

Welcome Celine,

There are some wonderful people here. Not to mention loads of information. I think you would be odd not to be scared of the surgery. All we can do is trust in our Dr. that we chose. Good luck and a speedy recovery.
