shakley vitamins??? | Arthritis Information

Hello, I am new here but have been reading in some of the forums that are posted.I find so many of them so helpful.I have had ra for about 10 years and have used enbrel w/arava. recently my dr put me on humira w/mtx. I am still waiting to feel good again. It's been 3 months.mostly what I am asking though is , has any one ever tried the shakley vitamin program for ra?? one of the members of shakley told my husband that it cured her ra. I've been duped before on "cures"and don't want to waste any more money or my time if it wont even help some.Welcome Maimi. I don't think there is a cure for RA. I do believe however
that when general body inflammation comes down, symptoms of this
disease can ease up, not always. I really believe in the inflammation/disease
connection. I used to take Shaklee Supplements and they are probably some
of the best out there. They certainly cannot hurt but don't rely on just them
for "the cure" That will probably never come. Taking the step to lose
weight, stop smoking, changing diet to a non inflammatory one and taking
the medications required to combat this disease, are the keys to optimal
health with RA. All we can do is be in the best health we can be so this
monster does not consume us. Thanks Iorster, Why do you not take Shakley vitamins any more?I now take reliv vitamins which is in a powder form that I mix with juice to take. I tried the Shakley vitamins but they made me sick.    My friend takes them though and does well. But its no cure--its just about being as healthy as you can be.I stopped taking them years ago maimi. I was in college at the time I quit
because I didn't have the money to afford them as they are quite a bit more
expensive than others. I did like them and if I go back to vitamins, they are
ones that I would take. Thanks for the replies.I am thinking that I will just stick with the vitamins that I take now. Much easier on the stomach with it being a liquid . I don't think I want any more pills to take . The Shakley program would have me on 44 pills a day . Yow!!
