What the hell is this? The season to screw over your fellow man?!?!?!

My e-bay account was stollen, and they were working on my paypal account. I'm so pissed right now. But e-bay caught it, and stopped them. THANK GOD. If they had gotten my pay-pal account, they'd have had access to my BANK ACCOUNT. >.<

I'm in the incredibly slow process of getting my e-bay account set back up. What a PITA!!!!

What is WRONG with people?!?!?

Hugs,

Pip

LOL Thanks Pip.

At least AOL caught it for you, right?!?! I'm trying to be happy that e-bay caught it. I'm just miffed that it makes MY life more difficult. Grrr.

Oh good lord, I hijack posts all the time. I'm terrible and I know it.

Hell, I hijack my own posts sometimes............now THAT'S sad...

They did catch it.  And promptly ban me from logging on.  Guess they don't appreciate that sort of deviation.  Anyway, a phone call was all it took to clear it up.Alright Linncn Iwill repeat my question young lady

I sing to Samus "Kitten, oh kitten, you have a face like a mitten! I am so smitten with yooouuu"

Justin says I'm insane.

goodnight Katie and Linncn I am going to bed before I get any goofier

Yep, my sister has been through this identity theft thing.  I am so scared of it, and now that my daughter has her own money she is as well.

Yep, why make an honest dollar when you can steel it instead.

Good point Shelly, I think I'm gonna give up this honest dollar thing and give your way a try

"Oh I really love your big black doggy nose

repeat

Well I like your floppy ears and i like your waggy tail but I really love your big black doggy no-o-ose"

Its really catchy if you hear it.

Night Meme, see ya tomorrow

ANyway, right now I have my name and ss# in these places to catch anyone that attempts to use my ss#.

When and if I ever get a job I think I will just do cash and forget taking care of bills with checks. Moneyorders work but are a pain. Once they have your routing number and acct. number it is done and over........I am not certain what the solution is.

Oh well. cyber highjackers are everywhere. Everything you write even here is sent here and there by whomever I am certain. Oh well. Good time to stay off the net I guess.

We had a problem with E-Bay several months ago and closed our account permanently.  Some guy called and said he was on his way to our house to pick up the ski jets he had purchased from us.  Huh?  We had no idea what he was talking about.  Apparently someone sold this guy the jets, took the money and gave us as the pick-up point.  They had our phone number and address.  It's a good thing the guy called before he came, he was traveling a long way and he would have been even more angry if he just showed up and there were no jet skis.  That was it for us...no more E-Bay.  We aren't sure if the crook took the info from our Paypal account or not, but we're not taking any chances. It's just not worth it.  We're also thinking seriously about joining one of those ID theft protection companies.  I saw one on a news show a while back and keep meaning to contact them.  I read recently there has been a huge increase in ID theft this past year and since we've also had problems with crooks accessing our credit card, it's only a matter of time before something more serious happens.  What a world we live in.   (sigh)Hey katie just checking in did your sweetie do a scan of the computer to see ifanything was hiding.  meme

Still don't have my e-bay account opened. BLAH!

What do you for internet dial up or cable??  Was it saying you weren't logging out of ebay or off the internet?

Cable. When I'd close my browser, and power off the computer, I could power it back up, open IE, and I'd still be logged into EVERYTHING. e-mail, ebay, bzzagent, AI, you name it. And it's not supposed to do that. But it was. Stupid POS.

Now it works right.
