Hello to all...I'm very glad to have found this website...

As a young mother of two ACTIVE little boys...fairly recently diagnosed with RA and Sjogren's, I find it extremely difficult to deal with the sharp decline in my health as of late. It is so hard for me to talk to anyone about my condition. My friends really don't understand what I'm going through, whether it be the symptoms or the side effects of the drugs I'm taking. Neither does my husband!!! Feeling very alone, and hoping to gain from other's knowledge of these diseases, and the fantastic (ha!) drugs that we get to take for them.

carmenmerrill39460.1528125Hi Carmenmerrill, I am glad you decided to join us. We can all feel your pain and understand how you feel with your health rapidly declining. Mine happened litterally overnight. I had an asthma attack where i was put in an induced coma for ten days and had to have rehab for more than 3 months to learn to walk etc all again. Luckily my children were older when this happened. 9,11 and 13. Still very hard for all of us. well the trauma from that event bought on psoriatic arthritis. That was over 5 years ago, and I have finally got onto enbrel and now have a much better life with less pain. It is hard for others to understand what we feel, and often our partners feel useless if they cant FIX us. Well welcome to our group and i hope you never feel alone again. Ally

Welcome Carmen,

Spend some time reading when you can this is a great place to hang out. Lots of people who do understand.
