Bursitis | Arthritis Information

I have been having pain in my shoulder and my hip. My hip when walking more than 2 blocks.

When I went to my Rheumy on monday he told me it was Bursitis. He gave me a shot of Ladicane in both my shoulder and my hip and said it should go away within a few days.
He also, said that people with RA have a tendency to get bursitis.
Has anyone had this problem?
Anyway, I am getting to appreciate this guy. He seems to know what he is doing. I try to walk 2 miles a day and if I cant do that it would be a darn shame.
Yes I get bursitis in the hip and the elbows. Its extremely painful.

I get it in my hip. I keep having nasty elbow pain, I bet that is bursitis too. I didn't know you could get it there. Does activity make bursitis worse?

currently have bursitis in my right shoulder... horrible, at worse radiates down the whole arm.

very bad bursitis in my hip. I've had cortisone shots for it which help a lot, but its still really painful.

My husband had bursitis in his shoulder but his gp thought it was something else and sent him to physical therapy which did nothing but make it worse and cost us 00.

Thanks for the link Thinkthinn. Next time it gets bad I'll ask about it. Never mentioned it before cause I thought nothing could be done.

I had bursitis in my hips for months. Dr. gave me coritzone shot and it helped for weeks. He numbed it with lidocaine and I didn't even feel the needle for the shot. I also have had lots of pain in my shoulders that goes down my arms. I wonder if this too is bursitis.......
