In our area the real temp. is -11 degrees with a real feel/wind chill of  -33 degrees.  Burrrrr for you wolf.  It's 30 here now.  Suppose to be bitter cold by the weekend.  :(It is a balmy 21 here and snowing lightly. Very quiet and peaceful. I'm
gonna sit all day in front of the fire and watch greys anatomy.

Yeah we are going to be plunged into the Artic Tundra this weekend too.  Happens every winter.  Wish the media would quit making such a huge deal out of it lol.  ITS WINTER PEOPLE!!!

I wonder how this cold is going to affect the NY Giants on Sunday.  We are used to cold like that.  They are not.  MUUUWAHAHAHAHA!!!!!  GO PACKERS!!!!!

Two weeks ago it was -26 here BEFORE the windchill. INSANELY cold - and then last week we had +12 days which is record breaking warm for this time of year. Crazy weather. I hate winter

Wanna hear something nuts??  We had TORNADOS...yes TORNADOS in JANUARY!!!  There was one in Kenosha and one that was further southwest of me.  It was 62 degrees here like 2 weeks ago lol.  That is just insane!! Never ever heard of tornados in January til now.  Leave it to us Cheeeeeseheads lol!

I guess there was a tornado in Ky a week or so ago.  I hear that is real unusual just for KY alone.  Scary.

Also we had temps in the teens then by middle of last week it was in the 70's then down below zero again.

42 - and I'm freezing here!

Pip

Yep - friends of mine in Wheatland had major damage to their house.

Have a great day and stay warm.

rusty39465.4684953704It was -10 on Monday, shot up to 30 on Tuesday and dumped a foot of snow. It is 21 right now. We start the woodstove when it gets to 10 and the humidifier, so I definately like it warmer, not as much work.It is an unseasonably cold 39 degrees here at the Sonoran Abode in the High Mountain Desert of southeastern Arizona, USA.

Cold bothers me...*LOL* I much prefer 100 degree days.

Con brio! Happ

Winnipeg has made the news hear as being -38 degrees, lord knows how cold its going to get tonight.

I'm just hoping my roof stays on.
I think some people are reporting in Farenheit and some in Celcius.

It is 51F here right now. Tonight... suppose to get down to 35F.

And tomorrow is Rain/Snow. High is suppose to be 32F, low 17F.

Weather Alert from weather channel.com says....

WINTRY PRECIPITATION...PREDOMINATELY SNOW...IS EXPECTED TO FALL ACROSS PORTIONS OF CENTRAL ALABAMA BEGINNING AFTER MIDNIGHT FRIDAY NIGHT LASTING INTO THE AFTERNOON HOURS ON SATURDAY. ACCUMULATIONS OF 2 TO 4 INCHES ARE POSSIBLE. BASED ON CURRENT FORECASTS... THE AREA MOST LIKELY TO SEE THE GREATEST SNOW ACCUMULATION IS IN A BAND ACROSS THE MIDDLE OF THE STATE BETWEEN INTERSTATE 20 AND US ROUTE 80. LESSER AMOUNTS OF SNOW...ROUGHLY 1 TO 2 INCHES...IS FORECAST JUST NORTH AND JUST SOUTH OF THIS BAND.

So I guess we are to be getting between 1-4 inches of snow! Man no one around here knows how to drive in snow! Last blizzard we had was in 1993 and well a lot of people got into wrecks and did not leave home because they did not know how to drive in snow.

low to mid 30's here. Boy I feel for those of you who are dealing with temps colder than this. Lots of blankies, hot soup and hot chocolate! We love to see all the sliding cars on the news when it gets icy somewhere where you guys don't know how to drive in it. Although it's also funny to watch the Anchorage news after the first big snowfall and reports on how many cars went in the ditch. That's going to come back and bite me.

They are forecasting snow for us, too.  We don't get enough snow to pay for all the snow removal equipment, so you are pretty much stuck until the streets melt off.  That's fine - most people from here enjoy taking a 'snow day'.

The worst problems come from people with 4WD, who think that you can drive however you want because you are in a big SUV. 4WD is just four wheels on ice, when it is icy.  That's what will be on the news - reporters standing on bridges without hats on, holding yardsticks to measure the depth, and SUVs in ditches.  They will call it the Blizzard of 2008, if there is more than an inch LOL.

MMMMMM I got stuck on hot chocolate. Yummy. Gonna make some now with real marshmellows. The wind is wicked here in central Illinois. The windchill is -2 right now and they say tomorrow is going to be colder and windier. Even our dog won't go outside. LOL

BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!

I dont know the degrees for minnesota, but my body tells me its colder than the north pole!

kel

Stay warm everyone!

You couldn't pay me enough $ to go out in this cold. LOL

It was in the 30's yesterday and we had about 4 inches of snow in the day and turned into rain at night.  Today all the snow is just about gone and it's 50.  Calling for snow again tomorrow and very cold this weekend.

It's -15 right now in Eastern South Dakota.  -30's with the windchill.  Supposed to be that way all next week.  Yuck!!  And I wonder why my toes are so cold!!!  I swear the older I get the more I hate winter!!
