OT; A tip for other sloppy painters | Arthritis Information

Yesterday I was deep cleaning and was having trouble getting paint droplets off of the  linoleum. I have tried just about everything for several months on and off to no avail.

THen I thought I would try fingernail polish remover. Well folks, for those other sloppy painters out there like me ( it doesn't ever matter if there is a drop cloth or not, the paint on my brush always slips under it) if you pour a bit of fingernail polish on the drop of paint, cover it with an old cleaning cloth or papertowel, wait for awhile,  the paint droplet comes up easily with a scraper!

I know, it is always the little things that are so fascinating to me...but let me tell you, the floor looks great and I can see no damage!

Too bad it wouldn't work on the nail polish my dd spilled on the carpet.  Light light carpet and she spilled of course black.  :(

Baby wipes are the best when the drops are fresh!  Now you can buy paint wipes ... for 3 X the price.  Same ingredients.

Try Murphy's Oil soap on the carpet.  Not the spray stuff, but the original liquid.  Pour some on, scrub, let sit for a bit, remove.  Keep doing it over and over until removed.  I once got an entire bottle of black india ink that my roommate spilled then moved the furniture to avoid telling me about it for like a week or two.  I mean dried in.  It was in college and I needed my security deposit back.

Got my security deposit back!
