I sent an email to the lawyer who is looking after the possible class action case.... it will be interesting if she calls
MORNING!!!I am in mourning today. LOL. Sigh. Rheumy appt. at 11am for Arielle this morning. 4-6 inches of snow expected today. I can't find the broom to clear the snow off my satellite dish if it gets full of snow lol. I knew there would be a downside to having that Swiffer Sweep n Vac lol.

My son is off to South Africa in March for a 3 month working holiday. My sister-in-law has bought a guest lodge on the south coast overlooking the indian ocean and my son is going to work there. HA! Dont think she'll make him work too hard either, it will probably be 3 months of long lazy beach filled days.
Where can I get a job like that??

I haven't been around much for the last few days...a terrible tragedy happened in our little town Saturday, about 4 miles from me, A man shot and killed his live in fiancee, her 14 year old daughter, his own 25 year old daughter, and seriously wounded the womans 21 year old neice, Gina....she worked with my son for a couple of years in a grocery store, I just talked to her last week....she's going to be ok Thank the Lord. Poor little thing had to pretend to be dead to manage to get away and call for help.
The police shot him several times but he is expected to survive. Our whole town is in shock and mourning, something like this has never happened in our quiet little town. It's been terrible.
Also a friend of mine for 20+ years had stomach cancer surgery last week, it didn't go well...then she became septic from a leaky bowel and blue coded Saturday. Thank the Lord she made it through but is still in extremely critical condition.

It's so cold here it's almost a record low, no snow or rain though.
Lisa your son definetly has the "look" needed to model...he's a doll!
I hope your friend recovers fully, it must be so scary to have cancer but to suffer with septecemia too is a double whammy to deal with.

Mona~ OMG hunny I am soo sorry to hear about your bad news...You will definitly be in my thoughts and prayers. What is w/ people??? Every other day I read some article about somebody killing their kids. Here in IL 2 little boys were set on fire back on Oct or Nov and have been in a medicated coma since and the youngest one died over the weekend. They think the father did it...And in HI some guy threw a baby down 30ft onto a bridge w/ traffic. Im sorry but if you do something like that to an innocent child you deserve a very harsh punishment...Im not for the death penalty but this is a different circumstance.....I really dont know what is wrong w/ people nowadays.

As for me??? Well I have to get some cleaning done..My dad is coming over and bringing us lunch and the house is not up to his expectations. I know im living here now but my dad will still say something and I'd rather not even go there. 7 more days till we bring home the puppy!!!!!

Dont be embarassed ....Ive had an ENTIRE convo w/ Kami but it should been Karen....OMG it was hysterical all I could do was laughAm I the only one that hates to get a shower and dressed in the winter time.
First off it takes forever to warm up the bathroom. Then by the time I am ready to get dressed I need to put on lotion. (very badly dry skin) then layers of clothes. Can't stand to be cold. I am so wiped out by then I don't even want to think about my hair let alone my make up.
Wow. A lot going on today. Mo, I'm so sorry to hear that sad story. It's gotta be devastating in a little town where everyone knows everybody........it's personal for all of you instead of being just some crazy thing you heard on the news.
And your friend. Well it makes me happy to hear she's doing better now, must have been very scary for all her friends and fam. Not to mention her. I hope her condition continues to improve.

I'm still in WV with my mom, hoping to go home tomorrow, but the weather between here and there looks a little "iffy" so I will have to wait to watch the newest weather reports tonight before I decide.
We're off to the oncologist today to get the results of her bone scan (which I already know - that's why I stayed). My cousin works in the hospital administration at the hospital where her scan was done, and she got the report and called me, because she understands the situation I am in. The breast cancer recurrence originally came back in her lung and her bone/bone marrow in her arm, all on the same side as her original breast cancer. It has now spread to her spine, in just a month or so, so it's on the move. . .
I've been here for two weeks, and I can't wait to go home! I love my mom very much, but she is incredibly eccentric and difficult. I just keep asking God to give me patience, tolerance, sensitivity, and understanding - he does -- MOST of the time, LOL.
Since I have been here -- hubby has had two car accidents! The first one wasn't his fault, the second one was. No injuries fortunately, but he rear-ended another car and damaged it, so now our insurance will be going up. GRRRR! I think he was fiddling around with his new GPS I gave him for Christmas when he hit them. MEN!
Mona, so sorry to hear about the tragedies and illnesses touching your life. How horrible!

I was trying to put light blond highlights in my daughter's dirty blond hair. How was I to know that bleach expands??? My mother died with cancer, it's a horrible disease sometimes.

Karen, I'm so sorry about your Mom's test results. It's very hard news to get, especially about a family member. I think it might be good that you were able to get forewarned about her results. You may be able to help her deal with it a bit more easily. Please take care of yourself, too. It's so easy to get caught up in caring for others, and let ourselves get worn down. My prayers are with you, Sweetie.

It is snowing and still snowing. UGH. Supposed to snow into tomorrow afternoon. Yukkie! Arielle's appt. went about as expected for a 1st rheumy visit. Complete exam...tons of questions...bloodwork...and starting out on mild stuff til more test results are back. He is running a CCP to see if that comes back positive or not. We will only be called if that comes back positive. I am still going to call in a couple of weeks to find out what results are if I don't hear anything. I do not trust doc's or doc office's to call back with results EVER. So right now it is celebrex and weaning off the prednisone. She can't wait to do that since she is broken out so badly from it.
Sarah and the kids are coming on the 30th! She is staying until Saturday morning, but Kayla is staying til the following Saturday and then we will take her home. I have something to look forward to!! YAY!!
