Hi everyone  - thanks for all the kind wishes.  Spent the day in bed feeling rotten.  Spent the night on the net trying to convince hubby I have RA - think he's in denial.   Austin (my little boy) is bawling his head off - hubby's off to settle him down.  Waiting on the CCP test its 2.20am here - they said I'll get it back early afternoon today so only about 10 hours to go.  The worst thing is that it's not even a rheumy that's giving me the result - its just a receptionist who'll tell me.  My family don't seem to understand how scary this is - even though I pretty much know its going to be positive it still frightens me.

Weird question while I'm here.  Does anyone notice that the less they eat, the less pain they're in?

Yes, Yes.  prior to getting prescription meds.  Don't notice it anymore.

It was so evident, that I would hate to eat.  Lost plenty weight.  I even tried eliminating different foods. Meats, sugars, coffee, tea, etc.  Even went on fruit/veggie only.  Didn't matter what I ate.  Within minutes after eating I had more pain.

Forgot about it, till now.

Have no idea what that means.  The only diagnoses I have is RA.  Nothing else.  No gout, diabetes, kidney or liver problems.  And I know it was not my imagination.  Was a everyday event.

hmmmmmmmmmm  I didn't notice the food thing.  I gained 16 pounds over the winter with ra symptoms (but always on pred.)  but that was because I was living with my big mountain man and his teenage son and those boys like to EAT.  Brett did all the cooking and huge meals with desert every night.  It was a very cold winter in the mountains, lots of snow and ice, so didn't get out much.  I really got fat

Also, when I am in pain, I don't like to eat except sugar.   Spring was when I started to try to get off prednisone.  I really do feel moody on pred.  Never have gotten off prednisone for more than a few days but I try not to get over 15 mg. a day.  Someday I want to be completely off it.

I have read a symptom of ra is weight loss.  Only good symptom I have read about.  I have always watched my weight because it is hard to be active when I am carrying extra weight.  Also, way harder to lose the older you get

Julie, It will be good to hear from you tomorrow.  I hope you get validated so your family will support you.  Support is so important with ra and tough to get.  That is why we need each other

Julie; I thought your husband was supportive. Wasn't he the one that found us in the beginning? I thought he was also convinced that something serious was going on.

What's happened since we first spoke to him?

Yes, I thought it was David too, who contacted us first. He sounded like a wonderful caring husband. I think though Julie you were referring to mum and dad, If I remember correctly.  Anyhow, it doesn't matter.. we're here for you and I hope all goes well for you.  Jackie.
