Katie mentioned "Welcome Back, Kotter" on another thread, which is weird because I have been thinking about old TV shows a lot lately for some reason. I guess it is because we played Monopoly this weekend, and it made me feel 12 again (I am the thimble).
I want to watch: Family Affair ("Buffy! Jody! Cissy!!!), The Monkees, and Bewitched (post-Tabitha, pre-Adam, old Darren).
how about you?
Of course I miss Welcome Back Kotter. (duh...lol)
I also loved watching Hogan's Heros! My dad and I used to watch that one together. :)
Loved the Brady Bunch!
"Oh my nose!"
I LOVED watching The Monkees!! I miss Silver Spoons, too. I got stuck watching Dallas because of my parents but have successfully blocked out most of those painful memories.
PS - And don't forget about The A-Team and Wonderwoman!!!!
Nope. "old" shows to me, are gonna make you guys laugh.
My mom and I used to watch Days of Our Lives like our lives depended on it.
Not Clint.
And that whole post made NO sense for about 3 minutes......
You mean it actually makes sense now??? The old west? CliNt met his great grand father (as a boy) and he kept running around saying everything was "plum loco". It annoyed me so much i just couldn't take it anymore.Ok, so I am an I love Lucy fanatic...it even came up in counselling!!!
I remember watching General Hospital with g-ma...and would have still been watching, but they have put new faces to the characters and it pisses me off.
I love MASH, Family Ties, Rosanne, Cosby, and now Gilmore Girls. Yep, I have a variety...I miss Family Ties like crazy...cause it has only been on a couple of times. I even like Beverly Hills 90210. Yep...I am a junky.
When I came home from school I would watch Lost in Space, and Gilligans Island...oh, and Brady Bunch...I soooo wanted to be blond.
well no, I mean, I didn't know who anyone was that you're talking about, but at least it was two people.
And not a woman and a woman's body part.....
I think I may have seen ALMOST every episode!
Not too old, and this will probably rocket me to the top of the dork list
Xena - Warrior Princess & Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
Xena ROCKED though. I loved the cross over shows with Hurcules(sp?) Those were the BEST! Little Ted Raimi! Gotta love him!
Ok we watch MASH of course...and the old Twilight Zones on Sci-Fi...lemme see what else...oh yes the one show that convinced me to be what I was when I grew up...Emergency...I Love Lucy...that is about it. I don't watch all that much TV to begin with and I haven't seen a soap opera in like a zillion years. My mom doesn't get Family Guy. She's always asking me to "explain it" to her. I'm like "mom......I can't...you either get it or don't.."
Her biggest question is "How come they can understand the baby some times, but not all the time?" I'm like, "cause its funnier that way??"
Xena was great!!!
We LOVE the Family Guy (and American Dad, too). They're hilarious!!! Question though: what's up with the little man trying to take out the Mom all the time? LMAO
hey Katie, what was that show that the daughter was a robot? X-FilesOh who DOESN'T want to do David Duchovny??? If you say no, you're only lying to yourself.
Same thing goes for the younger version of William Shatner.....GOD I love Star Trek.....
Oh my gosh. I had a crush on captain kirk when I was a little girl. How about Partridge Family???? David Cassidy was the stuff dreams are made of.
ewwwwwww star treck?? c'mon LOL
No it was a show in like the late 80's early 90's where she was a robot...hmmm maybe ill google it
It was Small wonder!!!!
OHHH Mork and Mindy!!!!
I know what show you're talking about Shannon....dopn't remember the name of it though.Small Wonder?!?!? I missed that one. Could have been during one of my rounds to the UK.
Mmmm Kirk......Laverne and Shirley was pretty funn. Lenny and Squiggy were hilarious. At least to a 14 year old.Perfect Strangers!!!
Here's an oldie but a baddie...Bosom Buddies lol.
I didn't watch Dallas, but I was a big Dynasty fan. We'd always have friends over and play euchre (anyone outside MI know it?) and drink rum and coke and watch it together.
Family Ties was hilarious! Used to love St Elsewhere too.
The Love Boat! I use to love that show. I also liked Dallas. I watch it all again on TNN or TNT; what ever that channel is.
I'm still a huge Soap fan. I started watching Soaps with my Mother when I was a child.....and I'm still addicted to this day. lol
Medical Center and Emergency - loved them. We were at a comedy club once, and the guy was doing a whole bit about Emergency. Like how Dixie must have been sleeping with all the guys, etc. I was cracking up, it was hilarious. But nobody else was laughing because they had never seen the show! The comedian finally gave up and said, "I guess nobody has seen the show except me and this lady right here." and pointed to me. I was mortified.
6t5 - I know a lot of these are on TV Land, but have you ever seen the Monkees on there??? That is one I never see in reruns anywhere, and I was singing the song the other day, and my girls thought I was crazy. I really want them to see it.
Linncn - I used to watch One Life to Live, but never saw the Clint/Vicki stuff you described. I stopped watching during Vicki/Nikki pretty much. Is Asa still around? That's one thing about soap operas - you can keep those roles for life, if you are lucky.
Has anybody said Green Acres yet? Hubby thinks all those writers must have been into some heavy drugs.
Asa died recently.
I have a little black & white TV I keep on my desk and keep it on mainly for back ground noise.
Never watched OLTL or AMC until I got this little B/W TV and only get channel 9.
Well, this will show my age:
1) an original Trekkie, live long and prosper
2) an original Dark Shadows watcher, didn't miss one show
3) The Man from U.N.C.L.E already was mentioned, but what about The Woman from U.N.C.L.E.?
4) personal favorite: Honey West
I am such a feminist.
When I was growing up it was "Little House on the Prairie" and "The Waltons". I absolutely loved those shows! Oh and after school, "Fllipper" and "Gilligans Island"; also "Gentle Ben". Ahhh the good ol days!
