Rheumy Appt | Arthritis Information

Well I had my rheumy appt this morning and had plenty to catch up on.  She let me know that the neurosurgeon had written saying that I had seen him and that my cervical disc was in quite severe shape and I told her that I would be seeing him in the next couple of weeks to set up the surgery as soon as I had ha another appt to talk about a few more details.  She suggested that I separate the surgeries, so I guess I won't be able to get them done and overwith at the same time.  We talked about my MRI's and the outcome is that it is NOT a villinodule synovitis but just a very big, very very big synovitis/bursitis type of thing.  It will have to be removed.  The other option is to bombard it with cortisone but that means going in for a series of shots.  Rather just have the surgery and get rid of it.  She gave me a referral to the best hip ortho she knows.  Monday that means I have 2 calls to make  one to the Neuro surgeon to make an appt to set up a surgery date and the other to the Ortho to set up an initial appointment which might take a few weeks.

That was my appointment in a nutshell.  the rest of the day  I went and got my hair cut and then went to the mall.  I officially hate my daughter I'm with Joonie...take your daughters pjs!
Good luck with the surgery!
lol   her jammies wouldn't fit.

There isn't much chance that the shots would work and I think I would just rather go with the surgery and take my chances there.  At least I would know I'd done everything I could.
Yeah it didn't sound like shots were a real great plan......LOL At least they're not making you suffer through them FIRST, and *then* do the surgery! yeah  a bunch of shots would not be my first choice  unless I was unconsious.Man... I would be trying to SQUEEZE myself into my daughter PJ's LMAO!!! Grant it only one thigh would get in and then it would look like the Hulk had been wearing them LMAO!!

I vote no shots... but I am just that way when it comes to a lot of needles that are suppose to be inserted into me!
