Finally, my approval came for my total hip!!!!!!! The surgery is set for Feb. 21st.

Hopefully, things will be much better and that I'll be able to walk soon w/o taking all of this pain med.
As to the weather, the sun finally came out but it's cold out. I ran out of my vicodin yesterday and I'm down until I get my refill. Couldn't sleep as I couldn't get comfy.

Glad to see that the forums are up and running again. The support from all of you has seen me through some rough times.

Alan, hope that your business trip went okay. On Wed., I was running around doing things or trying to, in the Pasadena area.

Nini, hope that you're feeling better. Blankie sounds good but have to fight the cat for it.

for the rest of you, take care and stay safe and warm.

Marisa!!!  yay for you Marisa, my mum had her hip replaced last year (hers was a self inflicted injury though!), that said, you need to take it easy once its been done, dont rush your recovery. Its the best thing that's happened to my mum.... just as well she was plastered when she fell The countdown is on! Marisa, I'm so glad you got your approval! I'm sure you'll feel much better, once it's done. I know the thought of a surgery to replace your hip may be a bit frightening, but i'm sure you'll feel like a new person.

Take care, Sweetie. I hope you get your pain meds refilled very soon! With this weather, it's not a good time to be without them.

Much love, Nini
The trip was fine...actually had ice on the windshield wed morning.  I was at the edge of Pasadena at JPL up in the hills.

Certainly hope your surgery goes smoothly!!!

Alan
Marisa, are they doing the anterior approach. It is nice, very quick recovery.Good luck to you! :) Wendy
WOOO-HOOO!!!! Great news, Marisa!  Good luck! Thanks everybody!!!
It's going to be a very hard surgery as they have to remove hardware before they can do the total.
I'm praying that the hardware removal doesn't give them trouble.

Still waiting for my refill of my pain meds. Having trouble getting it and may not get it. If not then I'll just grit my teeth through the pain.

Again thanks,

marisa
