 Anyone taking the fibro drug Lyrica ?(sp?)  My RA Dr. wants me to give it a try.  He said I might notice swelling in my legs and weight gain, not too happy to hear that.  Had a heck of a time getting back to this place then to find it is all changed around.   Thanks for any input on the drug.  LauraWell, I was on it for a month. Hi Laura.  I have been on Lyrica for years and I love it.  I've gone up on the dosage several times and it has helped even more.  It has helped greatly with the neuropathy and some with the fibro too.  It is a difficult med to get used to...the first week or two there was a lot of dizziness, drowsiness, and out-of-it feeling for me, but if you can hang on, you might find it working well for you.  If not, be sure to taper off because it's one of the meds you shouldn't stop suddenly.Hello Laura. One improvement with the new software is the user friendly application of the Search function. It is faster and more convenient than before.

I know that in the recent past there has been at least a couple topics re: Lyrica.

I have been on the medication for a couple of months for peripheral neuropathy. I can say that the number of times I awaken at night with burning, tingling, and/or deep numbness in my hands and feet has been greatly reduced.

The only annoying side effect I have noticed is my mouth being excessively dry (however, in fairness that is a long standing complaint and the increase might be a progression of that). I keep a glass of water nearby, day and night.
