Hand Surgery-anybody? | Arthritis Information

Has anyone had any bones in their hands fused? I'm primarily interested in the proximal end of the thumb. How was your range of motion after that? What was the recovery time? I'm "entertaining" the idea, but I am beyond miserable right now.

Any thoughts??

PhatsYou mean the last knuckle in your thumb? I'm confused. LoLSorry, it is the bone closest to your hand (on your thumb). But, I'm interested in anyone who has had any hand surgery at all (other than carpal tunnel).

Just so I can say, my mommy's has *never* moved. They don't know why. I'm not sure how close that is to what they would do, but she has no problems using it. She just can't sign the number 4 very well....haha we always joke about that.
