Spoke to soon... | Arthritis Information

I really hate this disease. I have been doing so well for awhile now, but today it has reared it's ugly head, ten fold! I must have jinxed myself... I am sorry, Blessed. Hope tomorrow is better for you!

Much Hugs!
Aw, Lisa, I am sorry. And I so relate. You are not alone in any of your feelings...be sure of that. The unpredictability of  RA is so difficult to deal with. You're doing fine and then...wham...you flare, no obvious reason sometimes. It's cruel the way this disease picks our lives up and throws them around where we don't want to go. Acceptance of this is pretty tough. I am so still struggling with this myself, as many of us are.

And yes, I am constantly frustrated with not being able to take care of my responsibilities...I get so angry about this.

Do what you can, sweetie. Good on you for recognising your limitations and hiring a maid's service to do what you can't. Pushing ourselves too hard just makes the whole thing worse, don't do that, it's just not worth it.

Hope things get better soon. I'm sorry you are feeling so bad Lisa.  Cordelia is right.  This disease just plain sucks.  I hope it helps knowing that there are so many of us out here that are praying for you and sending you healing thoughts.  You will overcome.

Good Luck with your home study!

Lori
Hi Blessed,

I'm sorry you are experiencing a flare up in your RA. I too have come off prednisone but only recently and it can be quite stressful to think that you may have to go back on it. Give it a chance though as I am going to do. The mtx may take some time with the increased dose if you have only just increased it. Good on you for getting some help in ! that's very smart in your state!

Take care.
Poor girl.. Your flare could be exacerbated by the stress of the home study too.  can you take a short prednisone pack? for me I need to about every 3 months.  and its over in a week  or so.Sorry to hear about the flare. Good luck with the home study.Well, at least once you get 3 foster kids you'll have free labour for the housework.Hey Blessed, hope you're feeling better today.  How did your home study go?Oh Blessed, I am so sorry to hear about your flair.  I hate how we are so much alike.

Sounds like you might have a bit of stress that might be contributing to your flairs.  Do you need a little "Blessed" time?

I know stress can flair you.  I ate a ton of sugar while panicing about our problems we have had tihs week and this moring "boom" bad bab flair.

Take time time, if you can, and go outside or find your "calm" zone and spend some quality me time when things get stressful or exciting.

I hope you get well soon.
God bless.
I hope you feel better soon and your study goes okay Still feel like poop... I think you all have pegged it! It is probably stress and weather induced. I have just been soooo busy and I really DON'T won't to take any prednisone if at all possible. But on a good note...the maid cleaned my house with Q-tips (lol) and I believe you could eat off the toilet seat (yuck). Fantastic....gonna have her come every other week.

Home study went great!!! We will have the 2nd one next Tuesday and then we're done. She told us we were great and that everyone at the agency were so excited to have us.

On a very serious note...one of my little sisters was in a car wreck today. She's okay...just banged up real good. Please keep her in your thoughts and/or prayers.

Thanks to all of you for the wonderful advice and well wishes. They mean so much to me. I pray all of you are having a great pain free day and will keep you all in my prayers.
Sorry to hear about your sister. I hope she recovers fast. Much thoughts.

Oh and hope today was a bit better.
