Ok, I tested Sugar = Bad | Arthritis Information

I went sugar free twice and then ate sugar without my allergy foods in it to test it and both times my RA went into ultimate and i mean ULTIMATE flairs.

So, for the food post about sugars and stuff that went out before, for my body, sugar is definately a bad thing.
Argh...I fear that may be the case for me and sugar is my Waterloo. Do honey and maple syrup cause you to flare, or just refined sugars?Dang bubba, you're just stackin up the "can't haves" aren't you???

:( You can have fake sugar right??? Splenda and what not? Luckily, they make sooo much stuff with fake sugar now, so hopefully this won't dent your diet TOO much.

On the upside....figuring out your RA triggers is a HUGE plus!
So far just refined sugar, it's in fruit roll ups and vanilla wafers rofl.  I had a bad day lol.

I don't eat pancakes due to milk, so i don't know about the syrup and i don't use honey often either.

I can't have splenda lol.  I get horrible diareah (probably spelled wrong).  I think equal works ok in my system.

I wish equal was in cookies etc. for when i need the sweet kick.  They use splenda and one cookie and i am done for.

I am just happy i know sugar does it, just have to pray for more equal made products.  I tried to go sugar free with splenda stuff a month ago and it was a nighmare.

I have digestion problems alone with my RA (of course) and it just makes things so tough, soon i will find out all i can eat is chicken and carrots lol.
Try Stevia. It's an herbal sweetener. I got my diabetic dad using it and it's fine. It's all herbs, no actual sugar and no chemicals. You can buy it in shaker bottles or little packets in health stores like Trader Joe's or Whole Foods.
