In response to another thread about OT posts:
I couldnt agree more that there is so much more to each of us than our RA. And while most of us do have friends and family out there..it is fun to have online friends all around the world that are trying to live their lives around the RA and that are working so hard a being more than the disease. Quite a few of us have accounts with AIM and pop in and chat with each other about all sorts of things..mostly not related to RA but sometimes, when we want to fuss we do talk RA too. For anyone who doesnt know about AIM it is AOL instant messanger and it is free to download. You can log in while you are doing other stuff online and you will see which of your friends are online. You can say a quick hello and chat or plan times to meet online. You can chat privately or with many friends at once. It is nice because I can log in any time day or night and someone is on. For anyone interested and who wants to add me and say hello my AIM name is TexasCrunchy. I also have family in other states that I can chat with on AIM so it is really nice to have.
