My shoulder has been hurting for the past 6 hours. I have been trying to ignore it, I have taken a darvocet and 2 muscle relaxers. It still hurts really bad. To top things off, I have a killer headache as well. I have not been in this much pain in a while and it makes me mad. I know I should know better by now...and I dont have anything on Liz when it comes to this..but I just got over being sick...and now I hurt again. Before that I was sick..and before that I was in pain. It is always something. I just want time to feel great for a while. Is that asking too much, I mean as soon as I do feel good for a day or 2 its back to the same old crap. Maybe that is just it for me....maybe I am just being exra whiney right now...yeah..I guess that's it. I will shut up and suck it up. But, my shoulder and head do still hurt.Sorry you are in pain, crunchy. I hope you feel better tomorrow.
I on the other hand have been having shoulder pain in the balls and sockets of my shoulders. Yeah... you can feel the inflammation moving around in them when I move my arms. Hubby says it is quite gross feeling, the inflammation swishing back and forth. All's I know is it hurts and I can hear the inflammation swishing around in there when I move my arms.
Oh and no need to suck it up, it will just drive you crazy if it does not go away. I mean it is probably from the weather and you might need something a little more to help ya get over it.
((Crunchy)) I am so sorry to hear about your shoulder. I know how bad that can hurt. Sorry I haven't found any tricks yet that helps with the pain in the shoulder. But if I ever do I will sure let you know.Shoulder pain makes a lot of things difficult. It's likely causing your headache as well. Is your neck affected at all?
A shot of cortisone in that shoulder should get you up and moving again within a couple of days. Give it some thought. Don't suffer too long.
I agree with Lovie a cortisone injection should help. Sorry you are hurting so muchoh crunchy, I'm sorry you are hurting so much. I had shoulder surgery about 6 yrs ago and it's been great then wham, all of a sudden both shoulders hurt so badly I cannot move my arms out away from my sides. the only thing that is helping me right now is Lidoderm patches I put on at night for 12 hours. That little break in pain makes a world of difference. I hope you find some relief soon. Hugs, sweetie!

For a quick (temporary fix) I love Icy Hot Vanishing Gel. It comes in a tube that the applicator is like a shoe polish sponge. it doesn't stink and feels so soothing warm.crunchy hugs, i don't know you yet, but i do feel for ya.
I agree w/ everyone about getting the cortisone shot and i know its hard to get out, when you're in that much pain, plus the migraine...
Do you have any Lavender oil that you can put in some water or spray, its really great to help relax, and soothe.
I can sympathize, i don't have RA in my shoulder, thank goodness, but a couple wks ago, i just fell straight down, right onto my shouler and its still hurts..
try and rest if you can...
Well the good news is that I soon forgot all about my shoulder...
The bad news is that I soon forgot all about my shoulder becuse my headache turned into a migraine that lasted 15 hours before I got rid of it.
I am feeling better now except my shoulder hurts..lol..and my back...and my hips..but other than that..I am okay...I am just glad to not have the migraine anymore!!
Nothing like excruciating pain to make you appreciate the just severe pain, right?
