Snow in Washington State | Arthritis Information

We have been getting pounded with snow this past week too, and there is more to come.  I've taken a few pictures and thought I'd share them.  In one of the pictures, there is our propane tank ... from where I am standing (at the back door) to the propane tank took me an hour to shovel.  I went slow so I didn't hurt myself ... but I can't believe it took that long!  Right now we have a good 2 1/2 feet with drifts that are 3 or more feet.  There is more on the way, according to the news weathermen (so take it for what its worth) say we are due for 4-6 inches more within the next 2 days.  Not sure where we are going to put it all!!

The schools have been canceled for the 8th day now.  The kids are getting ancy, but are doing pretty good.  Robert has been taking my car (Ford Excursion) because it has 4-wheel drive on it.  Last night we went to get gas at a station that is about 4 miles away from us.  It took just about 45 minutes to get there and pump 6 gallons (for the tractor) and get back home.  I think the fastest I drove was 20mph.  Was very crazy!!  Kinda fun too

We aren't looking forward to the spring thaw.  Our water table sits very high where we are.  Good thing we don't have a basement!!

Enjoy the pictures!!  And wish you were here!!!  (need help shoveling ..... hahaha)

It is on a website named shutterfly and you don't need to join anything to view them.

Those are beautiful , thanks for sharing :)

ok i'm guessing Eastern Wa.. and out in the country..

my mom lives up in Seattle,  my dad in Spokane..

so where are you from darlin? :)

i have Lots of snow for everyone!  Love the trees with all the snow on them...they look so pretty!WOW! I just wanted outside here (NC) and it's 60 degrees! The ground hog says 6 more weeks of winter....but it sure feels like Spring here.

I would have loved to have at least a little snow this year. Actually we did get a dusting....but nothing more.

Stay warm.
It does make beautiful scenery!  Whispers - I am in Eastern Wa and Spokane is a short drive away.  60 degrees seems like such a nice temp!  Right now it is 35 degrees with winds upto 45 mph.  I had to go out and flip the breaker on the powerpole to get water back on and it was freezing!!  Took bites out of my cheeks!!  It makes for a cold house though.  My house is 100 years old this year and is not insulated.  I think there is some in the roof, but not a lot.  We have alluminum siding and if you're standing in the kitchen in front of the cupboards, you can feel the wind coming in.  We need insulation!!  Just wish it didn't cost so much! Holy cow, batman!! I think the only time I've seen that much snow is when we drive up to the mountains. The most we've seen down here north of Denver was about a foot and a half. (That's a lot for me considering back in TX the most we saw was 2 inches... of ICE!) Thank you so much for sharing!I used to live in Renton, i sure don't miss the snow, too cold and painful :)  But very beautiful. We've got lots of that stuff too. They're forecasting another spring filled with flooded basements. Thnks goodness our house is situated on a rise.  Last spring it was like a river running down both end of our street... our neighbors in the middle were really hit hard.Beautiful pictures.......I just can't imagine living in that much snow.  I'm here in the Sonora desert and the high today was a sunshiny 70 degrees and I complained about 45 degrees the other night.  I promise not to complain again!!!!  Lindylol Lindy!  I'm really glad I was looking forward to winter this year.  I usually HATE winter because I don't like being cold.  Summer was not so good for me was was hoping a change in seasons would be better.  So far, it has been a pretty good winter.  The kiddos have yet another day of no school.  We are having high winds here making all the snow blow across roads blocking them.  Those poor kids are going to be in school until July!  I have no idea if they have to make up all 9 snow days yet or not.  Waiting to hear about that.  Its been fun having them home.  I miss them when they aren't here and believe it or not, I get bored with they aren't here.

Weatherman says we are supposed  to be getting warmer, 40, so maybe some of this snow will slowly go into the ground!!  Meanwhile, sledding is fun in this!!
I saw that ... I hope yours doesn't get as bad!!!  Good luck getting through it all!
