Today I woke up having real bad pain in my feet ,ankles.going up to my knee's .  I am having a sensation of needle's in my feet. It hurts so bad.  My insurance company denied the Rimcaid so my Dr. is going to go with th Enbreil. I went to get themed. yesterday so they could show me how to use the pin. Pharmacy said the Inurance won't cover it  after they said they would. got to my doc. told him. He called them and now thy say they won't cover it unless I do mail order. You know thi has been going on for so long. All I can do is cry. They said they will put a rush on it. It suppose to be here today , guess what more insurance problems, now they say it will be here tommrow.Oh no apeanut.  That's terrible.  I sure hope you feel better tomorrow and get your meds too.  Insurance companies sure can suck at times.

I am so sorry to hear what you are going through...I will keep my fingers crossed that it does arrive tomorrow and you will get some relief soon.

This is why I so hate insurance companies...wouldn't it be nice if our doctors got to choose our medication and not the insurance companies???

Sending gentle hugs your way and hope things get worked out and you get relief soon.

a-nut, so sorry to hear you're not well.  I get my enbrel by mail and never have any problem.  Hopefully once the insurance gets straightened out thing will go smoothly for you.    Feel better soon.

Did you tell your doc about your pain? Are you able to take Pred? Maybe that will help while are the insurance red-tape gets sorted through. I wonder if they can put a rush order on it and overnight the med. I really hope you get some relief soon. Get yourself some rest and also try an Epsom salt bath before you go to sleep tonight to relax. Wishing you a good night's sleep and sending gentle hugs. bunch of jerks those ins. companies.

Hope you feel better.

For me, it took about 3mos or so to kick in before I really noticed a difference. Everyone reacts to meds differently though. Do you have anything else you're taking to help with the pain? I'm so sorry you're having to go through this.

Hugs,

Pip
I am on MTX every 5 days. Prednisone tears my stomach up.  The vicodin for some reason isn't touching the painA-nut, it literally worked overnight for me.ahh sweety, i'm sorry you're hurting soo bad..

can i ask why you're not on disability yet?

sorry about the insurance , that just sucks.. and maybe ask the dr for some higher pain killers?

gentle hugs

ohhh big thing,  always elevate your legs!!! it makes a huge difference,.. i'm a super restless sleeper, but i still have a huge pillow from Linens and Things, just for my legs.. i always have my knees propped up!
Makes a huge diff..

can you up the vicodin??
Whispered2008-02-08 20:40:24enbrel worked straight away for me. i noticed a difference only a few hours after the first injection.my ankle and knees are the worst places on me so i can really feel what you are going through.

I am sorry, a-nut. I know what you are going thru with the insurance company. I had to change over to mail order for the Humira, otherwise I would have had to pay 0 at the time, instead of . It sucked. But it is nice to have mail order. You never have to remember to order refills and they always call you to reorder. And if you are like me... always home to receive it when it is to arrive.

Hope are you doing better with the pain in your feet, ankles and knees, now.

Good Luck on the Enbrel!
Sorry Peanut about all the insurance b.s.
The good news is.....once you get your enbrel you will most likely feel much better. It worked for me two days after I took. The day of and the next day of my shot, I have to take benedryl so I'm a little tired but then I noticed when I woke up the next day, I had no stiffness whatsoever! Still no morning stiffness. My labs are good. I have been on it for about 8 or 9 wks now. Can't remember exactley, but it sure has helped me. I still have bad weather aches/pains and pain from damage but it has made a huge difference in my stiffness and energy.
Good luck,
hang in there
Let us know how you are doing! Very curious!!
take care
Thanks for all your support it's one in the morning here. Waiting for my ambein and flexrix to hopefuffly kick in. They said my embreil will be here around noon. It's50mgs to. I am on 750vicoden's. Is it comman to have this feeling of needle's in the bottom of your feet?
I hope your next post says you're feeling better.  This is just SO wrong.  It's bad enough to be in so much pain, you have to deal with insurance issues too.  That really adds insult to injury.  I'm wishing for you better days ahead.  Hugs. These insurance people are just unbelievable.

Good luck with the enbrel!
