I guess it was a good appt except for the blood thing LOL. For the study I usually get
handed a bag with vials in it...I take it downstairs to Quest to get
the blood for the study done. I came up the elevator, looked at my arm
and it was dripping with blood. I went into the office and asked the
head nurse for a kleenex...she said honey, "get back here right now". So she
cleaned me up and rebandaged it and said I'm going to have a huge
bruise on my arm. She wasn't kidding this morning it's all bruised up.
Then I went back to see the study nurse, she
said, "I heard they tried to kill you down there!" I laughed..yea they
did! Then the doctor comes in, "what happened to you?!" He shook his
head ....so anyways, he gave me a sheet to get MORE blood drawn for my
regular blood tests I
told him of how I feel much better and how everyone says I have more
energy, I'm more happier, and have a better attitudte...he seemed happy
with what Humira has done for me in a short time. Now I don't have to
go back for a month! What a relief!
With the study Abbot Labs (makers of Humira) help you with the
insurance company and the pharmacy to get Humira approved. After
reading other insurance horrors I've been really worried about it...so
I called my INS company and they said they would cover humira...I'm
still nervous they may not.
Had my 3rd Humira shot last night...I don't think we left it out of the
fridge enough cuz it burned some..it was out for 20 minutes. My husband
did a good job other than the burning.
I hate having bloods taken. "IT HURTS AND I DON'T LIKE IT!!" I have to have it taken every fortnight to check on my liver
We should have a little tap put in!!You have to have it done every night?
It wasn't too bad when it was once a month since Jan..but since 8/1 it
was every 2 weeks, then yesterday twice cuz they messed up
Every two weeks for me. I think a "fortnight" is a month. I am guessing. They talk funny in the UK. Ohhh ok
Blood suckers they are. Them day-walking vampires!!
Oh sorry...lol.
