Well I did a real good one yesterday!!!!Ouch Meme! I guess you will recover. A little scary that no one heard you out there - when it's this cold, someone should always know where we are (take a cell phone, maybe?). Bet you're going to be covered in bruises from heada to toe. Hope you don't hurt for very long. meme, I'm a newbie haven't met you yet. so sorry to hear about your fall. praying that you make a speedy recovery. I know what you mean about the bubble wrap, I think I need some of that too. Gosh Meme, that is terrible!  It must have also scared you to pieces when you could not get up.  If that is the case and if it was me, I probably would have to change my undies!  LOL  Wishing you a real quick recovery Meme.  And take it real easy. OW!!! hope you feel better soon!!~ no funMeme,

Hope the aches and pains don't last too  long;  I for one just could not cope with ice and snow - find it easy enuf to trip and stumble in dry weather.  thanks goodness the only ice I see in this warm climate is after a severe hailstorm!  have often wondered just how you all manage in the winter.  The bucket of sand and cell phone seem like good tips.

Round 2!!!!Meme, I'm so sorry about your fall. Hoping that you're feeling better today. Try placing some ice on your back to keep the swelling down. Rest and, if needed, take some pain med. Stay warm and safe, please!!!!

marisaomg poor meme! Can I laugh about the x-rays though??? I'm sorry but that's just too weird.

*ring ring*

"Hello?"

"Um..Hi....this is the ER....we uh....misread one of your x-rays..."

"oh?"

"yeah, it seems you DO have something lodged in your head. So you were right..."

*stares up at the large metal pole sticking out of her forehead* "Ya think?"

Meme, I am so sorry to hear about your fall...and now your broken foot.  You are in my thoughts and I hope for a speedy recovery.  I used to live in Illinois and one year was shoveling the snow when I heard a big POP in my back and feel to the ground.  No one could hear me, and I managed to finally crawl into the house where my mom was watching my son, and she called the paramedics.  They arrived and found it extremely funny (I worked in at the hospital at the time and knew the paramedics...they were on the radio calling in and saying "guess who we have in the back of the bus") Needless to say, I know how you must of felt being stuck out there in the snow.

I have now moved to western washington to try and avoid the large snowfall...but it seems to follow me.  :(  Oh, and I always keep a container of table salt near the door in the winter...a quick sprinkle of it on the front steps, and bye bye ice.  :)

Gentle hugs to you and hope recovery is quick!
Deb
