OT (kind of) I love my dog | Arthritis Information
Ok, ate dairy yesterday like a fool, didn't check and of course "BOOM". So late last night when it all hit me, i could barely move. Body flaired and RA flaired.
My dog a toy black chihuahua that we call lady and mama (has a baby here), she babies me. When i get sick she whines to come into the room to check on me and will lay next to my feet until I am better.
I love that dog :)
Until recently I wouldn't have understood what you meant.....but in October we adopted a baby Toy Poodle. I've never really experienced the love of a pet like this before.
I completely understand that feeling now.
Glad you have your little Mama. She sounds really special. Hope you're feeling better today.
Thanks :)
I love having her around, so when we hurt for any reason we just say "Mama, take care of me" :)
Dogs really are great comforters. We've got a beagle, who always cheers me up b/c she's so goofy and bouncy, and a german shorthaired pointer, who loves to cuddle more than anything in the world. Yay pets!

My cats drape themselves over my body.....They seem to know and they're so warm! Animals understand our feelings sometimes better than we do. LindyHi bubba and all........
I too have a toy black chihauhau. Her name is Lexie. She will be one year old on Feb. 22nd. She has been my joy and I fell in love day one. She knows when I hurt and lays right on the painful spot. She gives me company and has mastered playing ball. She has a tiny tennis ball and she catches it just about every time.
I too believe animals have a sense that we are not well and give us love and affection.
I guess I should correct and add: She is really my 20 year old daughter's dog but she works and has an active social life, so Lexie and I bonded and she sleeps with me.
