Jesse - this is for you: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/D-penicillamine
Penicillamine is used as a form of immunosuppression to treat rheumatoid arthritis. It works by reducing numbers of T-lymphocytes, inhibiting macrophage function, decreasing IL-1, decreasing rheumatoid factor, and preventing collagen from cross-linking. I see MTX, Plaquenil, Minocin, Penicillin, and some I don't recognize. A drug for each individual snowflake in here. I don't quite understand what happened today, but I am sure glad it happened, because I learned more from reading today's posts from such wonderful researchers than I have in a long time, and that I want to say thank you.
