OT - Thought for the Day | Arthritis Information

So, my daughter and I have a little ritual.  To keep us on track we race to see who can 'win' various things.  As most mom's here know, a kid will dwaddle and drag their feet and be late for EVERYTHING if you don't come up with something 'fun' to get them to move.  So, in our family we 'race' and the winner is...the WINNER!

So, for a long time I've been losing at the 'buckling race'.  As we're walking out the door to go to school this morning, she says to me, "you're gonna lose!" and I'm like, 'don't take away my hope, if I try and I try and I can win more times!"

And she's like, "No, you can't.  First you have to get the car open and the door closed.  Then you have the purse.  And then the keys.  And I've only got a backback".  And again I'm with "Well, I'm practicing and I'll get better" and she's like "No, mom, you're doing it the same way over and over.  You need a new plan".

And I just started laughing.

Isn't this just 'life'?

Very observant!  That's funny she calls the backpack the backback.  My daughter used to call it the packpack. You need a new plan...LOL How cute! I love having a daughter. Don't you?that was cute

Obviously, she has a plan.

Edited to add - she was disappointed to find out she couldn't keep the money she raised, tho.  But she still kept going.
