Hi. Not so glad to be here, for for reasons self evident, but glad this site exists, for sure! My journey is a little perplexing regarding RA, as I have not be "officially" diagnosed yet. I am not sure if that is because my rheumatologist is a little slow on the button, or if he truly has no idea. I have severe joint pain some days, in my hands, feet, neck, and especially in my hips; have a low grade fever a lot and my eyes burn a lot (not sure if any of that is relevant or related) . My RA factor test came back positive as well as my ANA, but my doctor wants to wait another 3 months to do more tests to determine the cause. Is this normal? By the way, I am a very active 35 yr old SAHM of 3, (12, 8, and 4). Thanks for any and all advice you could give. Hello and welcome,

No idea if it is normal or not. Sorry! Has Rhemy started you on any meds yet or is that on hold as well. All who read this will hope and pray that they find another cause for your issues. If not and you do become part of this little family. Start asking questions or your can click on the search at the top and read until your mind goes blank from an overload of info and opinions. Good luck and feel free to hang out either way.

Schell , Welcome here . I guess I don't get it , if your ra factor came in positive doesnt that say that you have Ra ? What kinds of tests are your Rd going to do to determine the cause ?I have no idea if that is normal .
But you do have a computer at your disposal to do all the research you can.
Good luck to you .
Hi Everyone..... I too am a first time user to this site, but so glad I clicked onto this page.  I'm a 52yr old female, been diagnosed 2yrs with RA & OA.  I'm married with 3 sons and live in the UK.  I was on 25mg MTX self inject, Folic Acid, & Tramadol, but I was sooo tired and depressed the Consultant decided to try me on Plaquenil.  Unfortunately I'm having bad side effects to that drug also, I just wondered if any of you have tried Rhumatol ??? I'ts a natural remedy with fabulous results.  I found it on a US site and it cost I think about for a thirty day course. I just wondered would I be wasting my money ?

love to hear from anybody

olivia
Hello olivia, I just want to welcome you here.
I have never tried Rhumatol but I'll bet someone here has . Hopefully they will let you know if it has worked for them .
I do love natural remedies they just seem to take a bit longer to work but sometimes it sure is worth it .
Good luck to you .
Thanks for that Miami, isanybody on Anti TNF drugs ? eg Enbril ? I've heard so much about them with some good results.  You have to have tried two types of drugs eg MTX or Plaquenil without sucess before they will consider  putting you on Enbril over here, with a long process of suitablity as well.
