I'm curious if Lasik is recommended for individuals on dmards and biologics?  I'm not sure I would risk having an eye complication to see 20/20 again.  I do ok with glasses.  Anyone that's on the meds have Lasik?  Lindy

Yes, I did last July, soon after I was DX'd and put on MTX and Plaquenil.  I had been planning to do the Lasik before the DX and asked if I could still go ahead with it.  Both the RD and eye surgeon gave their approval.  I'm very happy with the result and I had no complications.  Of course, if you already have any problem with dry eyes because of your disease, they probably won't do the surgery, but I didn't have that problem before or after the surgery.  It was a very good experience overall.

My husband wants to get his eyes done.  I should get mine done too.  His eyes went back from normal, but mine were created due to lumps that grew under my eye lids.  They basicly rubbed my eye making indents and causing blurry vision.I had Lasik surgery done 8 years ago and am still happy that I had it done.
They over corrected my eyes and I now need reading glasses but that does not bother me at all . I would do it all over again in a hot second .
