So DH is doing better with the leg...short term disability..or at the least the coverage we had was terribly inconsistant and after only 3wks off off crutches he had enough and decided to go back to work. No light duty, he wants to work all the overtime he can. Last monday was his first day back and even though by lunch time his leg was killing him each day, he sucked it up and came out with almost 60 hours at the end of the week. BTW-this whole experience has opened his eyes to my physical issues. He actually apologized for being the major turd that he was when I was on med leave last year. He said that anyone else would never have done all I did for him when his leg was broke after the way he treated me. He said he was grateful for the care I gave him, all the extra work I did, and that I never rubbed it in his face...WOW...I cant tell you how much that was needed to be said!! So here we are, him back to work and me working more and everything going along well for us all..and you wont believe what happened today..the weather was nice and his cousin showed up to go for a motorcycle ride. They headed off to our old neighborhood out in the country and some idiot swerved over and into DH on his Harley. He and the bike did a complete flip in the air and thank God he has been riding motorcycles since he got his first dirt bike at age 6.  He layed into the bike and held on, staying on top of it to protect his body. He wrecked right in front of the firehouse where some of our friends were on duty and they ran out to help.  He refused to go get checked out..typical guy...but I know he has a bad chest contusion and possible a fractured rib or two. The bike has mild damage...some of it they were able to fix right away..a few things will need to be replaced..uh..a triple tree??..it is in the front end..but the tank and fenders did get scratched at all. I could smack him for not having his helmet on...he is so freaking lucky..he didnt even lose his sunglasses! UGHH....he sure was shaken up..and his leg..sore..body..sore...We have been joking that he probably has the Harley logo from the gas cap embedded  on his chest underneath the chest hair. He came through it by using his head...thank God I wasnt on the back though..I know I wouldnt have been so lucky. I am already having doubts about riding it again.

Just one thing after another around here...Hi Crunchy, thank God he's ok, make him get checked out, I reckon he'll feel the after effects more tomorrow, stay well and off of the bike.  Regards Janie. Wow Crunchy he sue is lucky it was not any worse.  I do hope he decides to get checked out.  Somethings like this you really shouldn't avoid.

He did stay home today from work. He was hurting pretty bad so I gave him a pain pill and a muscle relaxer and he is snoozing away now. I still cant believe the whole thing happened. I guess after almost 30 years of riding motorcycles he is doing well for this to be his first accident. You know what stinks? The girl that caused it fled the scene...it is a shame that people are so dishonost.

Crunchy even though he is sore glad to hear hubby seems to be ok.  Maybe we need to wrap him up in bubblewrap???  hehehehehe
