If you missed the Intervention "Brooke" episode (like me!), they are rerunning it tonight.

Actually, I only missed the first half, but am interested to see the whole thing.  From what everybody posted here, though, my opinion from the second half is the same as what people got from the whole thing.

I really hope they have an update, too!

I missed it the first time, too!! I have a reminder set this time though. :)

No update, I am so disappointed!

I know you all discussed this before, so I understand if nobody cares to talk about it again, but this was the first time I saw the whole episode (okay, still managed to miss the first five minutes...)

I did not know how lucky I was to have a brother instead of sisters LOL.  Shame on them for combining a birth, marriage, and intervention into one week, OR shame on them for allowing the producers of a television show to convince them to combine a birth, a marriage, and an intervention into one week.

I have seen a few episodes of Intervention, and I do not remember the producers ever arriving to find the subject of a story unconscious, lying in broken glass.  Very upsetting to me.

The rehab doctor - he was seemed so relieved, so happy that Brooke agreed to go, that he was in tears!  It made me think he really really thought he could help her.  Then, the last interview with him, he didn't sound confident at all.  Very upsetting to me.

Something the dad said stayed with me, too - the family was so happy she when she got the Lyme dx, but he said she chose to (paraphrasing here) 'listen to the doctors around here who said she had a crippling disease and would never get better'.  Okay, I get that they didn't believe in the Lyme dx, but even so, why were those drs. only treating pain?  And now that she is treatment, why does it matter what they posted at the end, 'her doctors still can't agree on a dx'.  If nothing had worked to this point, time to change course, in my opinion, try the Lyme treatment.

I really wish they had an update.  I guess the ending was still true, she is still in treatment.
I watched it again I think this makes the 3-4 time. I can almost feel her pain as she walks and tries to open her car door.  I have no idea how much was RA v/s pain meds but my feet still hurt some times.  I hope they do a year end update with this years people. I went to the A&E website today, to their discussion board.  There are a ton of long posts, so most I had to skim, but they are all very emotional - from viewers as well as (alledgedly) Brooke's family.

Anyway, if you can believe what the people posting as her family (I mean, that they are even her family) say - she is still in treatment, but doing better.  Vague on what the treatment is, they just changed all of her meds.  It says at one part she came home for Christmas, supposed to be five days but only stayed two because she started abusing again and went back.  Pred is the main RA med they mention as prior treatment, and they say she stopped it due to weight gain.

A lot of posts from people with Lyme, a few posts about something I've never heard of - scleroderma of the joints, cause by candida yeast???  Probiotics to the rescue for that one, I wonder????
