Went to the rheumatologist today... | Arthritis Information

The pain and swelling in my hands and feet is almost non-existent.  I rarely take naproxen anymore. My left hip still gives me grief, but I've only been on the plaquenil for about 3 months, so we'll see what happens.  I lost about 6 pounds (no worries - I have about 15 more extra pounds!!!) - I wasn't trying to lose weight, but the plaquenil did make me disinterested in food for a while when I first started taking it.  We talked about my mood issues - sleepy, crabby, "don't care" attitude, etc that have crept up since December (about a month after starting the plaquenil).  She's ordered a bunch of bloodwork - thyroid, liver, CBC, yadda yadda yadda.  While it may be related to the med, it's also the middle of winter and this winter has truly sucked monkey balls (pardon my French).  And I've had a bunch of family BS in the past couple of months too.  So for now, I'm going to increase the Zoloft to 100mg per day and see if that helps.  I will return in 3 months, unless the bloodwork shows anything interesting or I have problems. "Sucked money balls (pardon my french)"

I was unaware that the French partake in any monkey ball sucking. Jasmine - sounds like not too bad of a visit - and snap out of it :)  I'm trying  OMG - JSNM said you had an OK doc visit!  See!

Just kidding, Cathy!

Hugs,

Jasmine, that's a good, positive post overall.  It sounds like you're on the right track.  I bet the mood problem you're having is simply winter blues.  It's very, very common this time of year.  Bet when the sun gets stronger, the flowers start coming up and you start spending more time outdoors, you'll feel so much better.
