...I'm going to have a few choice words for the Chick-fil-a Cow!!!!!

Hubby's out of town, so my little one is having to be schlepped all over for big sis's activities.  Last night's was during dinner, so I decided we would go to Chick-fil-a while we waited.

She was excited until she saw the cow outside, waving by the street.  I said don't worry, it's outside, plus it is like somebody in a Halloween costume, that's all.

She was still acting funny when we sat down.  Then, she went pale, cried out, and jumped in my lap.  I thought she was getting ready to throw up or something!  But no, the cow had come inside.

I couldn't believe it - her whole body was trembling!  I've never seen her like that!  I couldn't get her to calm down, and we had time issues, too, because her sister had to be picked up.  She said she would eat when we got home.

Fine, but I need to eat, too, and you're kinda big for my lap now.....but that cow...it was the eyes....very creepy to me, too.....

So we were right beside the glassed in play area.  I said I'm here by the door, and can see you, so why don't you go play?  The cow won't come in there.  She thought about it, and eased off my lap and over to the door, like a covert agent.  Then she dashed through the door and straight up to the top of the playground.

Good, I thought.  She's going to have fun, climbing and sliding.  But she never slid down!   She was hiding up top from the cow!

Eventually, the cow went away and she made a friend, too, and started sliding.
Awwww the poor thing.  I remember my DD at that age.  People in costumes no matter the costume she was so afraid of.  Heck she was even afraid of santa and the easter bunny at the mall.My older one, too, but this is the first time for my little one, so I was surprised!

Even Disney was a nightmare with my older one, we were the only family running AWAY from the characters!
Awww, those giant characters can be so scary to a little one.  I remember having to tell Goofy to stay away from  us when we saw him walking around at Disney.  My son was terrified.Aww, the poor thing. I'm getting visuals of her hiding from the cow at the top of the slide. LOL!
At least she made a friend!
Awwww poor baby!! I was like that when I was little scared to death of chucky cheese!! I was afraid of the others but Chucky was the worst!! I am still uncomfortable around those things! hahahah

My younger son was the same way - for years! He refused to go trick-or-treating because he was terrified of the costumes. Disney was a nightmare for us too. My parents treated us to a vacation there. We stayed at the Disneyland hotel and dad (grandpa) paid like 0 for us to go to the character breakfast (we got to eat with all the disney characters) I knew it was gonna be bad, but it was so funny. The first one walked in and son ran out the back door like his hiney was on fire. I felt so bad for both grandpa who thought he was doing a good thing and son who was so scared. Eventually I got him to sit very close to me and eat and wave to the characters, we just told them not to get too close. I am sure they are used to it.

Deb, that's so funny!  At the Disney breakfast I went in ahead of time and told Goofey NOT to come to our table.  And when Chip and Dale came up behind Alex (he was in a high chair at the end of the table) I thought he was going to jump right out of that seat clear to the other side if the table!!  Its hard when little kids are afraid of things that we think would be fun for them. My eldest was afraid of clowns( still is) and ventriloquist dolls. She was shopping in London with her friend and a huge rabbit ( man dressed up on stilts) came towards her, she phoned me nearly in tears ( I was laughing hystericaly) SHE IS 20Pin....I hate clowns, ventriiquist dolls, porcelin dolls, marianettes(sp) anything to do with the circus  they truely creep me out.

LoL, my son's name is Alex too

Is he the one going off to basic training Deb?
