FRICK OF A TIME

With this stupid weather? On wednesday I was stiff stiff stiff, and hurt all over. At 3am the next morning we got slammed with all this rain. I almost couldnt make it out of the house because our street was pretty well flooded. Got SOAKED getting into work and then froze my wet little behind off for an hour before I dried all the way.

It stopped over night last night, and then started again around 10sih? I think. Anyway, it just keeps coming. And I just keep hurting. I've maxed out the tylenol and the flexeril and I feel like all I did was eat friggin sweet tarts. What a waste of pills.

I am poofed like the stay puffed marshmallow man >.<

I just wanted to see if I was alone. There's a lot of back and forth about wether or not weather affects us, so I thought now was a good shot at bringing it up again! For science's sake!

I just keep thinking "thank god it's not snow, thank god it's not snow" I have no idea how I'd live if it was. The next town over from my work, has canceled school because the water on a couple of their main roads was up into the buses. Their mall is closed cause you can't get in, it's flooded as well. It's just crazy. I don't think I'll be able to take the side road out of work tonight, because on my way in at 3pm, there was already only one lane, and the water was rising fast.

*sigh*
Hi Katie, I'm in remission and I have a big, ole fat index finger and my knee is killing me and it's due to the weather.  We have a front that moved in from San Diego.  It got darker and more stormy looking as the day progressed.  Well, my ouchies progressed along with the weather.  All we can do is work through it and know that tomorrow may be sunny.  On top of everything else today, we had our 9th earthquake in the last 2 weeks.  It was 4.7 but it was quick and sharp.  I was bending over to pick up a rug and it almost toppled me.  Am tired of it.  LindyI just posted something like this on another site. This weather sucks for me--I hate it! I can never get the pain and stiffness and achiness under control with weather like this. And my heating pad died today----nice, huh?   Thats my luck--and I just couldn't muster up any energy to drive to Walmart and buy a new one.    Tomorrow maybe.

I need to move to a sunnier and drier climate.

Katie---I hope you feel better soon Aw Lin! It's bad enough to have crappy weather, but you have to contend with those STUPID earthquakes too!!

Are you worried there's a bigger one looming on the horizon? That seems to be the buzz......

wysone - poo poo! My heating pad is covered in cat fur. LOL I should dig that out tonight.
I'll move with you to the sunnier dry climate!!! Can there be cabana boys and free drinks? LOL
The last couple of days have been awful for me too. We have had sleet, freezing rain and now snow. I too want to move somewhere warm and dry!
How's Arizona this time of year?
Katie,
cabana boys and free drinks???!!   what time do we leave? Unstable? LOL

I dunno, how close are they to all the earthquakes? I know one of them was cenetered in Nevada, but spread pretty far. I've never been in an earthquake so I don't know how far out people feel them.

Correction - I *have* been in one, but according to my mother I was only a few weeks old and "dead to the world in my bed" HAH. Love my mom.
cabana banana boy--get me a drink with a umbrella in it!wysone2008-02-22 19:52:06cabana boy please come

and you think you've been on the computer too long tonight??I can't feel my biceps. I've been on the computer too long.

LMAO. But I'm at work, I'm REQUIRED to be...........so I have an excuse...........kinda............
I am in Upstate NY and have been having a tough winter too.  It is cold and everything seems to be bothering me.  I have been exercising a ton and noticied I am puffy too and my weight went up 4 lbs.  I should have dropped at least that amount--if not more. Of course, the weather, humidity, baromenter can all have an effect on our bodies.. linc where are you?? AZ??
i'm in san diego, lol and i haven't felt anything and just been reading we've had quakes, i'm like really?? Lol
I am the soundest sleeper, so if they've been happening, really mild and i've been asleep!! lol
ok i'm starting a new post that i've planning.. so not to hijack this thread..
I get so annoyed w/ ignorant people who say weather has nothing to do w/ the body, the Indians and  many cultures have always been very well aware of how our bodies react..
Full moons, are a proof, the er rooms are always full, and many more thing happen..
and yes, the rain here, does bug me, but its very mild compared to most places.

Hey, for some of us it is snow!  My area of NJ got about 6 inches.  I was a 9.3 on the richter/pain scale on Thursday, about an 8.6 yesterday, and today I'm still not sure yet.  I didn't think about it being the weather since the snow didn't really hit until yesterday.

whispered,
I would love to live in San Diego! My hairdresser goes there every chance she gets--she says its really beautiful there. And my doc says it would be a good choice for me with my arthritis. How do you like living there?
