OT Kitchen remodel | Arthritis Information

This kitchen DIY is for the birds! Too hard and nasty for me.

We're ready for staining the cabinets....then putting in the countertops, backspash, and sink in a couple of days. I fell intp bed at 9pm night before last and didn't move til 8am....and I'm a night owl. Wisk me luck!

I just read your back is killing you...what in the world have you done girl? Osteo in the back is very common along with RA...have it checked out hun. Hope you feel better, hot baths, heating pad and pain pills help.

Moana, Us too. We are sooooooooo broke that we are doing a whole kitchen one wall at a time... this weekend we got the sink, counter top, 2 base cabinets and a sink base... I've been gibbering with delight for 2 days now

we've lived in a house with no cabinets for 21 years.. We stored all our plastic bags, reynolds wrap, cleaning supplies etc in the DISHWEASHER.. which quit working 20 years ago..

Ive got pictures too.. well of the lower half of one wall, lol.

What kind of cabinets are you getting? what kind of countertop? We got unfinished cabinets from Lowes, and our contractor staned them honey oak.. and he found a ready cut Formica counter top in Indian Madras Slate.. Our HUGE splurge was a Moen faucet at 0. lol.. but I LOVE it all. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Kathy~ we're doing the whole kitchen at one time, hubby's off for a week so we'll see...

We got new brushed nickel appliances, refinished our old cabinets. (a PITA but ready to stain now), black granite sink and nickel faucettes. countertop is black, gold, and silver laminate...backsplash will probably be a light ceramic tile. The island will be granite, I hope, and the floor will be ceramic tile. Going for a Tuscan look.

I have changed my mind so many times hubby is ready to kill me, lol!
