Knee Replacements In people under 40? | Arthritis Information

I am 38 years old and I had a total knee replacement done a year and a half ago. And they told me I waited too long!! It has definitely helped, but it is a big decision to make. If your bone-on-bone as I was---I say go for it. I couldn't even stand for short periods of time at all and my knee gave out all the time and got "stuck"---so it was a good decision for me. When my surgeon came out of the operating room to tell my hubby how it all went, he said that my knee was 36 years of an arthritis mess in there! So I am glad I did it.
Good Luck to you!
