Initial Blood Work results. | Arthritis Information

This is a scan of my initial blood work results.

Don't know if this sort of thing has been put up before or whether it is warranted or indeed helpful for comparison reasons..

It may help those that are new to all this so they can compare..

I only know the two that I have underlined in red, what the rest  means, well, dunno.

This was after three weeks of massive pain and suffering before I thought it a good idea that I go see a Doc.
The graphic below is the bloods to determine what was wrong with me.

More nutriphils than lymphocytes.  We were told that signaled infection in the beginning and that is one reason they treated my daughter for a bone/joint infection at first.  Your WBC was almost out of range, too.  Hope you are feeling better! you always should have more neutrophils than lymphocytes.   Neutrophils make up about 65-75% of your white blood cells.  Lymphocytes app 20%

Stephen- your inflammation markers are high and you are showing a strong positive for the rheumaotid factor.  If those had not been positive (along with your symptoms) leading to the RA diagnosis..your doctor could have run the anti ccp test which is positive in about 90% of people with RA
What did the doctor say about the bloodwork? I personally do not like the part about the kidneys. Hope they can get you fixed up.
What did the doctor say about the bloodwork? I personally do not like the part about the kidneys. Hope they can get you fixed up.
Nothing was mentioned to me except that the Rf was high.
I have only managed to get these details as I want to see another Rheumy, actually that app is on Monday next.

I should imagine that if there was a prob with the Kidneys they would have said something.
All the numbers mean very little to me.

I'm still here, that report was in October of 2006.

Hmmmm.  My daughter's last labs came back neut. 49.1%, lymph 42.2%, mixed 8.7%.  So, based on what we were intially told, I thought evening out was a good thing.....I thought we were almost there.  Hmmm.

That was a cut and paste of three pages with all the jargon omitted.
Suzanne
different labs may have different results.  and I don't know if the levels in children may be different.  My old anatomy testbook didn't say...so your daughter seems to be at the very lowest level of neutrophils and highest levels of lymphoytes.  I wonder how the use of the antibiotics may be affeting the ratio
All I can say...mutter...is "Damn teaching hospital."
