getting off pred is horrible.  still on same dose, but i keep getting worse.  Right now i can't make my left leg go streight at the knee, my shoulders which never hurt in the joint area are going nuts.

I also have swellings all over like when i eat dairy but i haven't had dairy.

I wish this would just go away.
Hugs, hope you feel better soon! Oh dear...I really feel for you. Is it possible to taper the pred more slowly? I don't have any persoanl experience with it but maybe that would help? call your doctor. Weaning off the pred is an experiment. And obviously this experiment has gone badly wrong. I understand the wanting your mommy when you are sick. I had strep throat years ago and a high fever. I didn't want my husbands chickensoup and tylonlols i wanted my mommy's chickensoup and tylonols. When your sick there is no replacement for mom. I mean moms not going to let you die right.:)

i am going down a few weeks at a time by 1mg.

I didn't realize, but my husband bought me a new chair and desk, i am allergic to formadihyde (i know, it's more than likely spelled wrong) but that stuff swells me up like crazy.

So, i'm sitting here with my face mask on and hoping swellings go down.

I love my body, but it sure hates me.
What you on right now? How many mg of pred? Anyway feel better soon. Sending feel good vibes your way.bubbagump, I can't even tell you how often I've wanted my mommy during this disease, and that's without an evil chemical chair and desk causing reactions!  I hope you're feeling better soon.

Hugs!

P.S. I must be the weird one again, because I usually do not want my mommy when I am hurting or feel bad... I ALWAYS want my bed & pillow. lol thanks :)

I always want my blankie more than anything :)
Sending get well thoughts your way.Thank you all.

I am going back on my pred "again" and when i get well, trying to go down very very very very slowly.
Well... I hope you can get off of it. It just might not be time to get off of it right now as your body may need it to cope. Not dependant on it, but maybe your meds you are taking now is not working and the pred is helping you to stay at the level you felt comfortable with.

I know some times I am ready to ask to wean off and then something happens and I realize I still need the pred, because the meds have not took hold yet.

Much Hugs!
