HI guys saw GP today and I really did not want to take 15mg of MTX again, even in a split dose, the tablets gave me terrible mouth ulcers and sore lips and tongue!  She agreed to give me 12.5mg by injection and see how I go this week.  Awaiting more bloods to see if ALT is back to normal.  (Liver toxicity test).  Blood pressure is still too high even though I am on medication for it, and my weight went up even though I have walked every day and cut out carbs, talk about disappointed!!!!!  My doc reckons it is fluid, has to be as I don't really see how it could be anything else.  My heel is so painful and I have plantar fascitis, she suggested going to see an orthopaedic surgeon but I don't want to do that yet, the painkillers are helping less and less though.  Has anyone had any op on that part of the foot?  I have a heel spur too.  Cheers Janie.   janiefx2008-03-04 00:39:18

Here's hoping the injections treat your body better.

lorrie2008-11-23 23:49:44Janie, I am so sorry to hear that you aren't doing so well with the foot. I hope they get it sorted and that the MTX doesn't  hit you too badly this time. Don't give up on your walking honey, do what you can around the foot issue. It will take a bit of time to start effecting your weight and fitness level. I know how frustrating this all is for you, honey...it's like one step forward and three back all the time but do hang onto your determination as I believe it will get you there in the end, sweetie. Love ya lots. _popupControl(); Much Hugs, Janie. I hope the injectable MTX works for you and causes no side effects like the pill did.

I'm sorry Janie.  You're fighting two difficult battles right now.  I wish there was some concrete advice I could give you but I have no experience with the foot problem.  Only the pred. weight gain and I know what a bummer that is.  I hope the MTX injection works well for you.  Hugs.  Sounds like a lot of things going on for you Janie...hope things get better soon!I worked with a lady once that had that op. She said it made her feel good. She actually had torn something in her foot. I do know that with a tear the sooner it gets repeared the better it will heal. But boo hoo I would really hate to be going threw that. Sorry you are having this problem. So far i have had no surgery this flare. Last flare i had two knee surgeries a gallbladder removel and a breast biopsy and the upper and lower scope precedure.
