Hello Everyone. Sad News.
The MIL of our daughter has recently been dxd with bone cancer in her lower back. She had a real go with cancer about two years ago but after the chemo, etc. she bounced back. Her regular checkups were showing she was a-okay. That is until about three months ago when a couple of tiny spots showed up on her lungs. The doctor said since they were so tiny they would wait six months to take more x-rays, other tests, etc.
It wasn't long after she thru with chemo that she would once in a while get a bit of a back ache. Since they were going away on their own she didn't give them a second thought. Then she had to take a pain-reliever and no problem. It didn't take long though before the back ache/pain was never-ending and the OTC pain relievers weren't doing it for her.
Well, she finally returned to the doctor and explained the pain, her inability to walk unless someone was holding onto her, the nausea, etc. More tests. DX: Bone Cancer
She will be undergoing radiation treatments in an effort to reduce the pain. At this time they have her on the strongest pain meds. available and it's but taking the edge off her pain. The only way to eliminate her pain is to put her under.
However, we are going to lose her. When? Nobody knows.
Her DH is a treasure, too. Yes, he's beside himself!!
She means so much to all of us, her friends, community, etc. She's always there for anyone who needs her.
