LEV

The only spammers i see on this forum is you arriscolwell and tenderjoints. This is a legitimate non-profit agency approved by SSDI. It was so nice of earnest to put in the anti-spam software, wasn't it? You two spammers and scammers avoid the anti-spam spftware by spamming in the signature line and even more scandelous use the PM  service here as your advertising agency. And the shameful part of it is that neither one of you scammers even have the decency to say thanks or even give a mention to this wonderful site at your sites, not even on your links page and of course neither of yous allow spamming or advertising at your wannabe scam to spam sites. You better just back off, arriscolwell, got it. I'm not here to try and build my website, got it? I'm here to actully bring help to other people, not a bunch of fake hugs and kisses to endear myself to other to continue to try and build a website. To those that actually need some work at home monetary help, this may be just the answer. So back off. Got it you spammin'scammer you.

About Us

What We Do

National Telecommuting Institute (NTI) is a unique educational/job-matching organization pioneering the development of telework jobs for Americans with disabilities. NTI staff bring together employers who have agreed to "go virtual," advanced communications technology, and vocational rehabilitation agencies to enable individuals with disabilities to train for and work online in environments that are more easily accessible to them.

NTI prepares qualified individuals with disabilities primarily for work as customer service representatives, but also as technical support agents and medical transcriptionists. Equipped with voice and computer connections, NTI employees have provided service for customers of organizations and companies such as the Internal Revenue Service and AAA Roadside Assistance.

For more detailed information, please visit the appropriate portion of our site:

Our History

NTI was incorporated as a nonprofit disability organization in Boston in 1995. NTI grew out of the efforts of a small group of rehabilitation professionals searching for strategies to help the large number of talented and motivated individuals with disabilities who strongly prefer or require home-based work.

In the past 10 years NTI has gone down many paths, selecting those that show the most promise.

  • We're the prime contractor on contracts from federal agencies such as the IRS and the Department of Veterans Affairs. Using special set-aside legislation for people with disabilities, NTI has hired hundreds of home-based Americans who now answer calls and take orders for the IRS Forms and Publications Order Line or who perform medical transcription work for Veterans Administration hospitals.
  • We're a subcontractor providing qualified remote agents with disabilities to commercial contractors who operate call centers for agencies such as the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the Department of Labor, and the Immigration and Naturalization Service.
  • We provide qualified applicants to commercial companies performing a variety of tasks suitable for remote workers. We've matched home agents with disabilities to companies such as Ticket Master, Home Shopping Network, Alamo, Lens Express, GE Financial Services, AT&T Language Line, 800-Flowers, Phase2Solutions, Staples, The GAP, JLodge, Signature Group and AAA Roadside Assistance.
  • We advise our commercial partners on general remote workforce screening, training, and management strategies. We also provide access to NTI's innovative distance-training infrastructure.

We continue to research new occupational niches and experiment with new strategies to further our mission.

Legal Structure

NTI is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation, incorporated in Massachusetts.

Although our goal is funding operations from revenues from our client organizations and companies and from participating state vocational rehabilitation agencies, we also obtain funding through competitive grant programs and charitable donations.

Organizations and programs that have generously provided grants and donations to NTI include

  • The AT&T Foundation
  • The Charles Stewart Mott Foundation
  • The Fidelity Foundation
  • The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation
  • The U.S. Department of Education: Learn Anytime Anywhere Partnership
  • The U.S. Department of Education: RSA Project With Industries
  • The U.S. Department of Labor: Office of Disability Employment Policy

If you would like to donate to NTI's efforts, please call us at 800-619-0111 or M.J. Willard. And thank you!

It was a joke, you loser.

Pull the stick out of your ass, I'm not in the mood for you today. I was trying to be ha-ha funny with you, in an attempt at being friendly.

Apparently all that cold-filtering has drained your sense of humor. I'm not replying back to this, you know where I stand with you and that's the last time I try to speak to you on a nice level.

From now on, you can kiss my pasty white ass. I hope you choke. Well, I am not entirely sure how I was brought into this conversation, but as far as my signature, yes, I do have my site listed, as it is something I am passionate aboutand a part of who I am...and not as an advertising or moneymaking avenue, but as a place for people to get support.  I am definitely not in it for the money, as so far it has cost me quite a bit to get it up and going.

As far as there not being a link to this board...I actually just had to go back and check that myself, as I had added all the message boards that I have/and do go to, however, it was not uploaded in my last update last week...THAT has been fixed now.

This is not about competition...I am not concerned about who posts or visits what message board, as long as they can get the support that they need from the site they find.  Being someone that has posted on message boards for one reason or another for years, I personally like ones that are moderated so this kind of name-calling is not allowed to happen...especially on a site that is designed for information and support for people suffering with an illness....and this is the reason I started my site.

I also know how many hours I spent (and still spend) researching and looking for new information, so I wanted a place to list and share all that I have found for anyone that may be facing a new diagnosis.

I do however, appreciate your post Lev, and will actually be checking it out for myself.
I like all of it myself. No one is forcing anyone to view anything. I think it's great to post things such as job opprotunities and even other websites.

Lots of our members have a lot of time on there hands. It's just more to look at in my opinion. I like seeing other people websites and often click on links if I have time. Just as often I skip them when time is short.

I'll also admit to being entertained by some of the nonesense from you people spitting back and forth as well. It's so rediculous you can't help but come back to see who says what next.

I am on Social Security Disability and I just actually got a call about this ----- I haven't checked it out yet but I most definitely plan too. They told me to go to   www.mytickettoworkathome.org that's great! Make sure to report back your experience. I'm sure lots of other folks might want to take advantage of the opprotunity.Lev, This couls be helpful for people with disabilites and a way to earn some income. Thanks. Arriscolwell you did not sound like you were joking and I don't think you were. You sounded like an idiot. Why don't you and Lev PM your stuff back and forthI appreciate the info since Michigan has zip for jobs and if you are my age it is even more difficult.....I always get beat out  by the "youg-uns". I have been seriously considering working from home, that way I am porable and still have freedom to be with my kids and grandbaby..............geesh maybe even make new friends.

THanks for the post Lev

jode
6t5, are you Lev's little sidekick, or maybe his alter ego?LOL Yes I'm his alter ego.??????.......Stop the weed now before it's too late, your hallucinating. I suppose you find offense to his post someway. Well you DO have the same OS and Browser as Lev.

And no one else uses it. And it's not a common OS or browser. Soooooooooo ya know.
Keep up the weed Gimp, I'm gonna smoke some with ya someday. I have in the past spent a ton of time looking for at home work.  Haven't come across any that is legit.  Or maybe they are but they want so much up front.  I will however read about this.  Sure can't hurt.

Jode,

Believe it or not, you are the reason that I posted this. I rmembered you talking about needing employment and I was going to PM this to you but thought better to just post it for everyone. I certainly wish you the best with it. Someone mentioned the "ticket to work" program and the link to it and this too is a help from the government as they will subsidize the employer for hiring you. Here is the link to explain how much money you can make per month before ssdi money being affected. Keep in mind that for the trial period of 9 months you are allowed to make any amount without affecting your ssdi check, anyway, here is the link:

Tenderjoints, the reason you were brought into it is because someone mentioned spamming here on this forum and you just happen to be one of two spammers that use this forum to try to build your forum. I know that you try to explain that there is no competition and there isn't. This is part of your rules to your forum: "Spam, flooding, advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations are also forbidden on this forum." You spam here and you advertise here, that's why you were brought into it. You say that you had to start a new website to inform others, you know, there's only a dozen other arthritis forums and AI just happens to be unmoderated and number one. If I were to start a new arthritis forum it would look like this:

You say that you prefer a moderated forum, well there are plenty of them out there, good luck with them but guess what, they all have rules against spamming and advertising.
