Hi,
I am new to the board and I am glad to be able to come to a place to express my opinions and hear how everything else is doing.
I do have Rheumatoid & Osteoarthritis mixed in with other medical problems. I worry about the side effects in taking all the medication and hope in the end the medications will not bring more long term problems.
I finally found a good Rheumatologist so hopefully he will be able to stop any medication if he sees I am headed for a problem.
Try to stay as well as possible.

It's me Joy. I forgot to tell you that I live in New York and I am an Administrative Assistant.
I have just joined the forum, I am a grandmother, have always been active. I have osto, fibro and rheumatiod arthitis. I do worry about all the meds I am taking. I have been of predisone for about 3 years now, along with Humeria one a week injections, vicodin for the pain, I was on vioxx for the osteo, but of course had to go off it because it was withdrawn. I have gone on prevacid NapraPac, but it bothers my stomach, oh yes I am also on Neurontin. I think the one other thing (besides the pain) is that I have gained 39 lbs since I have been diagnosed. I find it really difficult to lose weight on the predisone.
Any suggestions?
