Does an amount of pred over 10mg help your Fibro?

Never mind... found out the answer yet again. I thought pred did nothing for to help fibro. Just was not sure. Told ya my mind is not functioning properly.

Anyways...

I asked that dumb question, because I am down to 20mg of pred now, and I have been having more symptoms come back. I am just not sure which is RA and which is Fibro.

Like my neck for example... when I dropped down to 25mg of pred, I could hear the fluid "swish" in my neck when I turned my head or laid my head down. I was think it might have been fibro that was effecting my neck, but my neck got better when I was put on that pred taper.

Then there is my wrists... they are swelled when I wake up and some time thru day. And some time during the day they will go back to being boney and no swelling. I am thinking that part is Fibro. Because they were swelled even with the 30mg of pred in me.

But then there is my knees. They have swelled even with being 30mg pred taper. They do not stay badly swelled long, just the hard swell is there. Then by evening the mushy swell will be back until the next day when I take the pred again.

I am just not sure what to make of any of this. My RD wants me to be able to tell the difference in my symptoms, but it is just hard to figure it out. I mean I know if I know which is bothering me most and making me swell, that it will help her to better understand which needs to be addressed with more meds.

Signed,
Confused

Plus, I forgot I was DXed with fibro the beginning of the year, because I was lumping all of my problems together and saying it was RA. Only because I could not tell the difference between the two.

I am done with my questions. Just had to get those answered so... I can start working on keeping track of my symptoms for my next RD visit. Was just waiting until all my symptoms came back before I worked on keeping track of it.

House work should be my hobby, but causes me too much problems. I think I will take up playing my daughter's webkinz. Now there is a hobby!
