Wow was that easy. I refered myself. Had a chioce of two docs. One had an opening Monday one had an opening Wednesday and it's in the same town as me. So cool. I took the Monday appiontment. I just had been living in the wrong area to have RA for all of these years because they had so few RD's in southern ILL and they were all over worked. It would take forever to get in three and a half to four months always. So now i have a place to go while i am actually swollen. Hmmm took nurse at RD in Ill two days to call and it only took me one biusness day to get an actual appiontment. My gp in Ill did call me in some pain pills. But that does not cure RA. So RD Monday and ENT Tuesday. I just might get to feeling better someday. At least i won't run out of pred. I have just felt so neglected and now i will have to get used to being taken care of. But my major problem had been lack of specialist where i used to live. This is great news to me!!! As i took 35 mg of pred last night after the nurse called at 7:00 PM and said take it now. And i had to still take one pain pill this morning. I skipped my evening pain pill as i thought the pred would cover it and was up all night from pain not from the pred. I finall feel asleep at 5:00 am. Woke up a little after noon and just couldn't take it any more.Glad to hear it Milly! Looks like Monday is D-Day for both of us Good news, Milly. Hang in there just a while longer. Now that you have proper care coming, everything should get better. Just knowing that you have medical help nearby is a great first step in feeling better, at least emotionally. Keep us posted, please.Hugs, sweetie!
