Twitching ANNOYS ME! | Arthritis Information

At one of my RD appointments, I told her of my twitching I kept getting my hand fingers and hands. She told me it was probably because of the pred. Which I kinda figured that.

Since that appointment the twitching has been getting more frequent and in more body parts. I had this one other time before, and it got so bad it was making my legs jerk while I was sleeping and waking me up.

Well... now the twitching is back to being in my butt, thighs and legs. And every so often in my upper arm just above my elbows, which not to mention like to be swelled too.

It is starting to annoy me, because I know the more I twitch the more chance I have of it getting like it did the other time.

And on that twitch farm she had a calf twitch here and a calf twitch there. e-i-e-i-OW!

and on that twitch farm she had a buttocks twitch here and a buttocks twitch there. e-i-e-i-OW!

and on that twitch farm she had a twitch in back upper thigh here and a twitch in back of upper tight there. E-I-E-I-OW!

Seems mine gets worse when i lay down to go to sleep. It is annoying, truely it is. Hows a girl to get her rest when she is twitching.OK...just read this post and I feel so much better...I thought my twitching was just me...never seen anyone say anything about it. I get the twitches bad, when I have a lot of inflammation. But the normal little twitches every once in a while, is pred. But I also tend to get inflammation in my muscles when the pred is not high enough to take care of the inflammation. It is just all weird and confusing, to say the least.

I get them all the time. My calfs never seem to stop. Look up BFS, Benighn Fasiculation Syndrome. Nextination.com I Think

I am not taking prednisone.. but I have it!! My neuro said it was RLS (Restless Leg Syndrome) and I take Requip to calm to sleep.

I find I get twitching from Endone or Oxycontin. ???????? Janie. I get huge twitches in bed. My hubby says that I am epileptic . Its worse when I am in more pain than usual or really exhausted. I have found though that its worse since I have been on enbrel and plaquenil.Its so annying when I am just about asleep and my leg decides to throw itself out and scare the crappers out of me and hubby.lol, twitching :)

I twich, leg flips out, hand flips, face twitches, it does what it wants. But nothing like it did before meds.

I used to sleep wth my hand on my husbands back and he would wake me up by moving my arm and saying i keep tickling him with my twitch. ;)

It happens to me when I am tired and/or really stressed out (like now). For me, it's a mild annoyance. I tend to get them in my right thumb and right lower eyelid the worst, but sometimes I also get them in my rib muscles, so it feels like my heart is jumping around. I forgot to mention, once i made a bowl of cereal and was walking to my bed room with it (desk and chair in my room) and my left hand twitched and cereal went everywhere. i just flipped my hand to the left and "splat".

I laughed so hard, my husband said i am not allowed to carry anything in my left hand anymore, but that was also cuz i am missing feeling in it due to the swollen wrist, so i have dropped coffee cups too.

It sounds like we re describing two things. One a muscle "jerk " or spasm. The other an involuntary twitchI found the site
