Could anyone help. I am suffering with serve muscle pain that i don't know what to do anymore. Unable to sleep. I take predisone 10mg and blood pressure meds. Do you know anything I can take that would help the pain. I take pain pills every four hours and excdrein every four hours. I don't know if I should take anthing over counter that might interfere with the meds I take. JoanHi Joan, you may have fibromyalgia, it causes terrible muscle pain, google it and research it.  I find Endep is good for the nerve pain that is caused by it, or Neurontin/Lyrica.  Best of luck, Janie. Yeah, might be Fibro. Sorry, I am not much help maybe someone else will see this and reply to ya.

Oh and during fibro flare on pain meds & muscle relaxers help. But does nothing for the tired feeling.

Excedrin contains caffeine - I believe it is 65 mg per pill (130 mg per dose).  If you're taking that every 4 hours, that can definitely cause sleep disturbances.  Also, Excedrin contains acetaminophen.  Many prescription pain medications, such as Vicodin, Percocet, etc contain acetaminophen as well.  If you're taking more than one med with acetaminophen in it, you may be at risk for acetaminophen overdose.

Definitely talk to your doctor - there are lots of meds they can try.  Relief is available.
