Charges for Rituxan infusions? | Arthritis Information
Back in November, I had my two Rituxan infusions at the chemo center of my local hospital. Time went by and I hadn't seen an EOB (explanation of benefits) from my insurance company on it. Finally in the beginning of January, I got the EOB and it showed that my responsibility was something like 0 (would have been more but I hit the out-of-pocket limit).
So I have been waiting for the bill from the hospital, but nothing has come. I'm almost wondering if they have accepted the insurance assignment, which would be pretty unusual. I don't want to stir up trouble, and I'd be perfectly happy if they forgot about me (especially now that I'm on 50% of my salary), but I want to know if I'm going to have to pay what was shown on the EOB. Especially because I'd be getting Orencia in the same place (assuming I start it like planned in April) and I need to know how much I'm going to have to pay out of pocket.
Anyone else have this kind of experience? Doyou think they're just taking a very long time to bill me? Or do you think I should contact the hospital billing? Or let sleeping dogs lie?
I generally consider myself an honest person, but I'm sure you all know how these medical bills can kill you.
Hi, I wonder much the same thing. Went thru chemo May 07 to Sept 07 and then started maintenance in Dec 07 to continue til the end of 08. Anyhow I get the bills and wonder when the "final" bills are gonna appear. My friend that works for CIGNA says that most likely the places have accepted the insurance payments.... I still worry. LauraI would not say a word!!!
Let sleeping dogs lie... when i called my vet, they "found" all these charges.. that they hadn't got to..
so considering the high cost of the meds... i'd just wait for the next bill, say nothing.
I was told my 2 Rituxan treatments cost 15,000!!!
thank goodness, i'm on medicare/caid!!
You really don't want your name brought to attention.. imo..
Ack, they must have heard me!
