I'm sick of it!! | Arthritis Information

It's March and I'm looking forward to spring....I hope the snow we had over the weekend is the last of it...but I dunno...I have a feeling there will be more...

Here's a picture of my husband cleaning out the driveway...it doesn't look too bad but it had been done twice before this picture was taken.

Just got off the phone with my son who was here all weekend but left this morning to go home.  He was saying they got more snow there  (Niagara Falls) than we got here...so he'll be outside for a bit shovelling out his driveway so he can get the car in.

Hope you "thaw"out soon! Spring is just 2 weeks away! I CAN"T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!

Now that looks bleak.

I can understand one being sick of it.
We are in for a hot spell (35C+) for the next week and I guess I will be sick of that and looking for a cool change.

I look at your image and all I see is photographic opportunities, but not sure the body could handle it day after day.

Hope you are warm.
It looks very cold and unpleasant. Get warm soon. Hugs!Oh boy, that picture reminds me of my years in New Jersey.  One year we had to go out and buy another mailbox because the one we had was covered in snow for over a month before it finally started melting so we could use it.  There was just no where else to put the snow after a while.  I understand so, so well how weary of it all you must be.  On the plus side, you live in a lovely development!

It's cold here today in North Carolina but no snow.  I've been looking longingly at the shrubs in Lowe's, waiting for the chance to start spring planting.  Make that..... waiting for my husband to do some spring planting.  Those days are over for me.
I live in place where everyone panics and runs for the bread and milk when they forecast "heavy snow" like yesterday... we actually had a snow advisory--get this--for 1 inch of snow!!

Give me hot, humid southern summers any day!

Warmer weather's coming, hang in there!

BTW, why do you think they send everybody out for bread and milk???
Carolina girl, my husband and I used to laugh when we'd see the locals panic and close stores, schools, etc. over a tiny bit of snow.  Then we moved here, in the mountains of western North Carolina, and now we get it!  Even a little snow on these twisting, turning roads can send you into a ditch over a cliff into never-never land.  Or strand you on a mountain top.  Fortunately, snow doesn't last long around here.  Still, we decided to add a gas fireplace to the lower level of our house in case we can't get out because of icy/snowy roads and also lose electricity.  We can just hunker down for a day or two until the snow melts and/or they salt the roads.  But compared to NJ winters, this is a lark.  Kel- we havent had any snow this year or last........i'd take some of it for a few days. We are on storm alert here in the UK.............Apparently late tonight and worse tomorrow .Heavy rain, high winds and lightning. I hate stormsI use to laugh as well. I live in the mountains of SW Virginia. I am a teacher and love my snow days. You have to remember, up north, snow removal is a huge part of the budget. They have much better chemicals and equipment than further south. Snow is handled totally different.

Regardless, I love snow and sledding. However, by now I am ready for spring. It will come eventually.Well, Kelstev... I will send you how we got snow yesterday. It was BIG flakes I could even see them falling without my glasses on. It was just a little sprinkle and went on for about 2 hours. Then around 9am, the sun came out and melted it all away LOL!

Sorry, about the snow. I noticed when it got so cold when we had the snow advisroy the night before it snowed, my whole body just statred hurting and it made my right hip, that had not acted up in over a month, start thobbing and not wanting to move right again.

Hope it ends soon for ya!
I'm in Rochester NY 1000 yards from the shore of Lake Ontario. Can you say Lake effect. I am equally sick of it. On the other hand my fur babies love it. They dragged me through the knee high snow that fell last night just so they could play  and roll in it. Driving to work this morning was a real treat. I'll still take this over 98+ degree summers in Fl where I grew up any day.Wow that pic made me cold just looking at it.  I think we have had snow that stuck maybe 4 times this year.  Sat was actually the worse.  Weird to because last monday it was 72 degrees.

Well it's all gone now.  But my DD who still lives in Ohio said some areas got more than 18 inches yesterday.  She got stuck in the snow twice.
Kel,
Great photo - but here's hoping by now it has eased a little.

We were lucky this time and all that snow went north of us. We still have some on the ground from last week. Supposed to warm up to upper 50's this week, woo hoo, time to get out the shorts! My sister from MS is flying here to Bloomington IL and will be freezing. She said it better not snow when I get there and I told her to 'hush and not jinx us".  I saved a gallon ziploc bag full of snow in my freezer for my niece for when she gets here, just in case there isn't any on the ground. I'm ready for spring too!! Bring it on!

We have four seasons in Montana. June, July, August, and Winter!! We have a ton of snow, I'm really over it too.

I agee - bring on spring.  It's March and the snow is still here and the temps are staying down.  6 degrees this morning - we had a day last week when it was 20 below windchills.  I expect this in January, but not March.   I heard some birds singing a few weeks ago when we had a heat wave and it was over 30, but I think they've all gone away.

At the moment I would be glad of some cold weather. We have gone past 8 days now of 42C  and they are saying at least another week of it yet. We are on strict water restrictions with the Murray river starting to look like a creek. My garden is dead completely, the lawn wont survive now. All my water from showering and clothes washing goes onto the garden but its not enough to keep it alive. The top of Australia has had so much rain its been flooded out but we get none down here in the south.I'm sick of it. !!For those that dont know 42C is 107.6F I guess there are extremes on either end.  Hope a cool spell comes soon  - hot weather is really no better than cold.   I think a nice 70 year-round would be perfect. Yeah that would be lovely. The hot weather puts me in more pain than cold, I think its the air pressure or something. And if its humid its even worse. Would be good if Queensland could give us some of their excess water. I am starting to feel like a tiger in a cage being stuck in the house so long with the airconditioner. I have just had a great new ramp built out the front of my house as the stairs were too hard to get down. So the first mild sunny day I get I am going for a ride on my scooter. I cant wait. The snow looks so lovely in the photo but it must make getting around pretty difficult. We were lucky  just 100 miles from Buffalo and we only got about 9 inches.
they got clobbered up there and  just a little west of here
