So it seems that the prednisone helps but isn't a cure. It was a pretty long day yesterday and I felt better than I have in weeks but there was still pain, just not excruciating. By 9pm I had to take more Tylenol for another headache and had to have my heating bags for my ankles, knees and hands but once I had those then I could go to sleep. Today I woke up feel pretty much like yesterday, a bit stiff but could get going and can feel the knees and hands. Is that pretty typical? I guess I was expecting to not feel any pain at all anymore. I do feel so much better and overall have more energy and less pain but I do not feel normal.
The longer its in your system the more it helps. It doesn't work over night. It also helps when you have a flare up to get an injection and take it orally. But it will take a couple days. Sometimes it works better than others. Depends on how your body takes to it. hope you feel better!
