I am just a little sentimental and senile | Arthritis Information

Albear made me laugh because my inbox was full.  I get sentimental about some "mail".  I have THREE message machines under my bed.  It is because I get messages from my daughter and my hubby  that are so sweet, I can't erase them.  They get filled up and I have to go buy a new answering machine

I also am senile.  I get confused.  So sometimes I save pms so I remember names and details of people's lives.  That is why my inbox gets full.   I am a sentimental, senile fool

I know what you mean, it pains me everytime I

click on the delete nothing wrong with being sentimental....but....you can email those PMs you want to keep to yourself!  I've done it with some of the ones I really needed to keep.
Under the message is a link that says email this message to yourself. one click and its done.
lol  Wayney.  I am always learning.  Any suggestions for my message machines No, no help for the machines...
as for the over 1000 emails....that's nothing.  I've got almost 3500 in one email account!  But that is my health stuff where I get all of my newsletters and have a ton of links that a friend emailed to me...kept the emails as a backup in case some way some how, I lose my faves...and the copies of the faves file! Tad anal-retentive huh?  Nothing at all senimental.  Just don't wanna lose a ton of hard work.  Should have also added that I've got 4 yahoo accounts, my ISP account and a few others I'm sure have expired due to lack of use...and Bastian has an email account as well but...for things like sending pics of him to his grandmas things like that.

So funny Wayney.  You know they have this external hard drive you can buy.  I have one but I never back anything up well, i'm at this moment finishing up our backup of music.  got the things from our documents we wanted to keep backed up.  my stupid pc...said the drives weren't valid when i tried to do a backup with the backup program.  so i am going in, making my own copies of things and writing them to cd...been fun....only 8 or 9 more discs of music left.  in one file, we had 1600+ songs.   filled 3 cds already and i fill them in MP3 format so it holds a lot of songs on a cd...good for playing only on pcs or if a cd players reads MP3.  but that's ok.  i so want a keychain size external drive...but need to get gar's pc fixed first.   and then mine needs some new things like a 3d graphics card and more memory as well as a USB2 port rather than a USB1.  and then once gar's pc is fixed (just needs a new hard drive) we can network them and both be online at once.  or even add my mom's old, slow, windows95 pc. then we can all three be doing things.  bastian likes to play games but my pc won't run some of his because of the graphics card.

Oh WAYNEY.  I so understand that.  Back up the music!   I had close to 2000 favorite songs, gathered over four years, my computer crashed and they could not be recovered.  It made me so sad.  I used to put it on random and always play it when I was on computer.  Now it is hard for me to start over.  oh i can imagine. i did the important stuff first...pics of family. things like that.  all my writing i'm working on.   but the pics were most important as we've got tons of pics of bastian but they are all on our pc as we're too lazy, whatever about having them made into prints.  love my digital camera though.  that's why we have tons of pics.  even ones not fit to print because the composition stinks or they are too dark, grainy etc.  plus, i had to get my genealogy work backed up...that is more than 10 years of work.   the programs and stuff...we've either got em on CD already or we can easily find them to download. so neither of us cares about those.   and once i back up my music and check the CDs, it's all being deleted off the pc....for space reasons.  ok, so we can put more music on there.  Now that is one of the sweetest things I have ever heard, saving the messages from your daughter and hubby.

I'll talk to my boys.  They have somehow put messages from people on our answering machines and saved them on the computer!!

I'll try to find out for you, I think it can be done.  I think it is so sweet that you save messages....and just endearingly sentimental.  If it makes you happy..............do it!

Roxy and Wayney. Aren't your e-mails "smokin"? I've heard of packrats, but you guys are the first e-mail rats I've ever come across. I'll bet you could start your own club.
